I can't believe you guys didn't care that Normani kissed Lauren 😂😂😂 lmao

Oh well. Doesn't matter now

Normani

"We need to break up," I told Dinah, who was currently standing in front of me with a red silk robe on. I was guessing there was nothing on beneath and her intentions were clear. So, to say the least, I had an issue letting girls down softly and I apparently had a knack for doing it at the worst time.

"Funny joke babe," she laughed, taking a couple of steps forward as she began to untie the strings that were pulled tight to her waist.

"I'm serious," I spoke, watching as her smile of humor melted right off her face. Her eyebrows furrowed and I stood up, placing my hands on her shoulders. "I promise it's me, not you. This relationship just isn't working for me."

"W-what do you mean?" She questioned, tears on the brink of falling. "I thought things were going so well between us. You were so happy and I was so happy."

"I'm sorry Dinah. I really am. My heart is just somewhere else. I don't want to give you a love that anybody could. I want you to have a love that makes you so damn happy you are excited when you fall asleep so you can wake up and see them. I want you to be with someone who can give you the world, because you deserve it." I explained as she began to cry. "I'm just not that person."

I felt terrible, but it was nothing compared to the pain I felt when breaking up with Lauren. No, that was absolutely horrific. I hadn't given her an explanation like I gave Dinah. I basically said, I don't wanna be with you anymore, bye, and I left.

"But you are Normani. You make me so happy," she whispered, her hands gripping the strings around her robe.

"But not as happy as someone else can. This is for the best. I had a wonderful time with you, and I want to leave this on a good note. You deserve better. You deserve all the love you can receive because you are a beautiful human being Dinah." I wiped her tears, giving a sigh before hugging her quickly. "Find someone who can give it to you."

"But you do! You make me happy and feel loved. You are the one!"

"I'm not that person Dinah. There's someone out there who can love you so much better than I can."

"No there's not! I love you Mani."

"No, you don't. You think you do but you don't. Don't say things you don't really understand. We both knew this wasn't going to last."

"Are you saying I was just a rebound? I-I thought this relationship was serious!"

"It was but I'm not experiencing any personal growth from it. I want what's best for you and me. I don't think either of us are going to go anywhere in this relationship."

She just stared at me with broken eyes. "Okay," was all she could say as tears streamed down and I frowned.

She didn't seem angry which was great, but she did seem sad. Slowly, I walked to the door. "I'll be back at six to get my stuff and move. I know you have a class so I just wanted to let you know." She nodded and I opened the door, breathing deeply.

"Normani," she spoke, but I didn't turn around. "This was because of Lauren, wasn't it?" My bottom lip wobbled and I restrained tears as I left, walking down the hallway quickly. Yes, it was because of Lauren. It was because I'm in love with her.

It hurt to leave Dinah standing there crying but she didn't come running to me like Lauren had. I think she knew this was for the best.

My feet took me straight to Lauren's dorm where I opened the door, surprised to find it unlocked. A girl looked up at me from her bed, narrowing her eyes. "Where's Lauren?" I questioned.

It had been three days since I saw her or talked to her. Three days since the kiss.

"Um what the hell ar-" The girl started but I didn't have any tolerance for her.

"Where is Lauren?" I questioned angrily as she stared at me in shock.

"Going to see Ty at the island grill. Now get out would you?! I have work to do!" She yelled as I rolled my eyes.

"Girl please. Bye!" I ran off down the hallway, not wasting anytime on the elevator. I went down the stairs, practically jumping down as I made myself go quicker.

It wasn't long till I was sprinting down the sidewalk, knowing I had to get to Lauren. The island grill wasn't too far but if I walked I wouldn't make it to her.

My feet patted down the cement as I steered clear of people walking towards me. Taking a sharp turn to get to the correct street, I fell and scraped my knee.

"Ow," I murdered quietly, concealing my pain as a girl stopped walking.

"Are you okay?" She asked and I looked down to see it bleeding. No, no, no. I had to go.

"I'm fine!" I exclaimed and she shook her head.

"You're bleeding. Let me help you-"

"I have to get somewhere!"

She glared at me and muttered something before walking away. I urged myself to stand up as I looked down the street. I just had to make a turn once I got to the intersection. Then I would be there. I could tell Lauren.

Even though my knee stung with pain, I forced myself to run down the street which was way more busy than any of the other ones. Fortunately, I was able to reach the place where the two roads crossed.

I turned my head, and my eyes widened. Ty was standing next to the restaurant door with a bouquet of flowers in his hands and Lauren was walking towards him.

Taking two long strides, I called out her name. "Lauren!" I yelled, watching as she turned around. Everything felt as if it were moving in slow motion.

Ty's face expressed discomfort as her eyes locked with mine and I ran forward, knowing what I was going to do. My actions were so reckless, but I didn't care.

I got to her before he could, and I saw the defeated gaze he held as I leaned forward, time seeming to return to a normal pace in my eyes. My hands outstretched and I grasped her face, pulling her right to me.

Our lips met and I kissed her passionately, not having a care in the world about who was around as she stood there, completely stunned.

When I pulled away, I ignored the angry steps coming towards us. I assumed them to be Ty's but he wasn't important. The only person I was paying attention to was Lauren.

Her eyes fluttered open and I looked down at her, my hands still caressing her cheeks.

"I love you," I whispered and she smiled softly.

"Took you long enough to realize it."
