Holaaaaa. I think I have an issue with leaving wattpad. I've been writing at night because I can't sleep and I still can't so I'm updating.
Do you guys have any questions?
I would love to answer them.
Oh also do you have any books of your own you'd like me to read? It can be any ship.
Normani
Lauren was laying beneath a tree, her eyes closed with earbuds in as people walked around in a rush to get to their classes. She was probably enjoying the cooler weather which I could understand. It was finally becoming a bit chillier but we still had some hot days.
Knowing I had said we would talk, I walked up to her and leaned down, nudging her shoulder. Her eyes shot open and I smiled softly, remembering what she had done for me earlier today.
"Hola mi am-" She started but I cut her off and rolled my eyes.
"Still have a girlfriend," I reminded and she shut up, sitting up against the tree as she tugged her earbuds out and tossed them into her bag.
"Right, sorry. What do you need?" She asked as I seated myself next to her.
"I wanted to say thank you for this morning. I got a notification saying my grade had been changed. It meant a lot that you did that for me."
"Just putting him where he belongs," she mumbled but I shook my head. I looked at her and I knew that the resurfacing urge to kiss her wasn't going to go away anytime soon. Lauren was such a good person. She was such a good girlfriend. "Stop looking at me like that," she muttered as I blinked a couple of times.
"Like what?" I questioned.
"Like I'm the best person in the world. I'm not Normani."
"You did something amazing today though. No one else stood up for me."
She shrugged and for a moment I wished we were back in Erendria. Things were so simple there. We were happy together. We were happy there. Our families were there. All we needed was there. It was perfect.
"Look Normani. I care about you and you know that but if I protect you every time like that and you come up acting like I'm some hero, it's gonna mess with my head. Like you said, you have a girlfriend," Lauren explained. I could see a glimpse of hope in her eyes, probably wishing I would say something in the lines of I miss you or I love you.
"I just want to be friends. Can we do that?" I asked. "Friends stand up for each other too."
"Hey Laurenza!" Someone yelled and I turned my head to find Ty running up. My heart pounded with pain as my hand instinctively reached for hers, a reaction I always had when someone called her name.
However, when I felt her warm fingertips, my hand shot away because I knew I wasn't supposed to touch her. I have a girlfriend and that's not Lauren.
Her eyes met his before they flickered to mine and I sighed. "We need to talk about this. You said today. When do you want to meet?" I asked angrily as he started to get closer.
"Meet me at the beach at ten. Bring your board," she answered.
"Ten?! That's late Lauren!"
"Just come. Please." I sighed as Ty finally got to us and nodded before I got up, squeezing my shoulder bag with an angriness that I didn't care for. Was she really still seeing him?
I walked away, looking back once to see him lean down and peck her lips.
Why did she have to be like this? Why did I have to be like this? Why couldn't we just be together?
