Aramine walked up the path to Edith's little cottage, her plastic bag of goods trailing behind her,
She picked up speed opening the front door to dump her stuff.
And when she opened the door she wasn't prepared to see Edith and Matthew at each other's throats, arguing about her.

And then as well as that Logan was sitting on the couch downing shots of whiskey and slamming them on the table, smashing the delicate crystal,
She turned and bolted from the house, as they turned to see the door slam.

dropping her items as she ran to the forest clawing at the skin by her neck to try and gain breath, she hoped she wasn't having a panic attack.

Without hesitation she changed into her wolf .
She knew there was a war coming and there was nothing she could do about it.

She bolted through the forest, her paws pounding against the hard dirt.

And there was just her and the wind.

She had no idea how long she had been running for but she was sure she was now lost.

That's when she heard it,

A light tapping of paws on the ground.

She could have bet that it was Matthew.
But to her surprise  a strange wolf with drool hanging from its fangs, a greasy coat stuck up in all directions, it's hair prickled up, standing in an attacking stance,
It snarled through its teeth at her and she snarled straight back.

It strolled towards her on powerful legs and she took off towards the forest.

Chasing her as she bolted round the trees, running into people and wolves,

She was cornered.

She let out one final howl.

A needle in her side was all it took to land her wolf form on the ground before darkness overtook her.

When light was next brought to her, she struggled to see against its harshness,

Harsh ropes were wound around her wrists, tightly binding her to a chair, she was sat in a large room with a shiny floor and a huge spotlight on her, framing all the little dust particles in the air.

She squinted against it and gazed at herself, she was dressed in a purple satin dress that almost shined in the light,
The top of the dress had a lacy floral style corset with two pieces of purple forming the off the shoulder style.

She wondered who had dressed her after being in her wolf form and where they got the clothes from.

"Hello?" She called, with a roll of her eyes and a sigh as she got no reply.

"Hello Aramine" came the voice of Kane,

"Kane?" She asked,

He walked into the light, dragging a chair along the ground behind him,
The wheels of the spiny chair dragged along the shiny floor creating a cringeful squeak

A flop of brown hair swept over his head, the sweat on his dark skin illuminated in the light.

He swings the squeaking chair around as its wheels rattled and he sat in it, facing the wrong way, his arms wrapped around the back of the chair as he faced her.

"Kane why am I here?"
She snapped impatiently.

"Because we are going to overthrow you, and we need you dead." He says

"I have trusted you for over a decade, you were my brother's best friend, why would you do this Kane, I want to know."

"You killed a very good friend of mine, Loreté, so I sent Stephen to get a little info, but boss didn't like him so he gave him the chop, literally."

She seethes at the betrayer,

"And obviously the cooks and maids etc," he adds

"And last but not least the hunters." She was confused at this but tried to look indifferent,

"Is that all?" She snaps In a mocking tone.

"Yep." He says

That was good, it meant that Logan and Matthew weren't involved.

"Do you want to know who the hunters are?"  He asks in a teasing voice

She remains silent.

"You probably thought they were literally were hunters am I right?" He says chortling

"Well actually 'Hunter' is a second name, one belonging to Loreté's cousins, who were plotting to find out what powers you had and murder you,"

"But boss couldn't let that happen." He adds smirking

"Who Is your boss, who are these hunters?" She demanded,

"The hunter boys, are Matthew and Logan, and my boss?"

"The king of the rogues, ís Jon."

"What?" She says flabbergasted,

And she growls,

She burns off the ropes in her hands in a fit of rage, using her thoughts to freeze Kane to the spot, and stands up, stalking towards Kane she placed her hands around his head and feels the heat burn through her palms.

The fire pulsed through her and lit her eyes,

Her whole body was aflame and she embraced the heat, the smoke and bright colours danced about illuminating the shadows,

The screaming and pleading from Kane almost incoherent as his skin and bones melted beneath her

Her heart beat slows and her breathing becomes erratic.

All hope for Aramine has been lost.

She would never forgive the hunters.
