72: Protect the food

When Chi came out from his office, someone was taking out a cob of corn from the bag.

'I'm eating this tonight.'

As he was going to put it into his mouth, a pair of huge hands stopped him, pressing his hand and the cob down onto the desk, his palm almost got crushed.

'What's good about the corn? I'll bring you guys out to eat later,' Chi said.

The few neighboring departments were all hyped up when they heard that Chi was treating, how bad could it be? No one was thinking of eating the corn, everyone was leaving space for the huge feast. Chi didn't let them down either, he booked two tables in a five-star restaurant, serving the restaurant's specialty and popular dishes. The crowd was chatting away while enjoying the meal, but Chi didn't even touch the food a single bit, he left after drinking some wine.

Gang was in the car yawning, then he saw Chi taking out the corn to eat.

'You aren't full?'

Chi was savoring the corn, he didn't have the mood to even reply him. The fragrant corn was as tasty as Wu's butt, it tastes better as you chew.

'Actually, I'm not that full either,' Gang reached out to the bag, 'I'll eat a corn then.'

Expectedly, someone grabbed his arm.

The next second, Chi went out of the car.

Gang was lost, what's wrong? Chi usually doesn't mind this kind of things! He would always call him out for a meal, why is that necessary for a corn? He hadn't sorted his thoughts, Chi went back into the car already. A heavy bag full of snacks were thrown to him.

'Eat this instead,' Chi said.

Gang was startled, what possessed Chi? He actually went to buy food for me? This is a miracle! He quickly took a photo and posted it on social media, this is something he should celebrate about!

Chi brought another cob to his mouth, as he was biting on it, he suddenly remembered something and took out his phone.

After sending the corn Wu went back to his breeding room, because the snakes need more space when laying eggs so he rented another apartment. He has been arranging for three hours straight, finally got the job done. He walked out while wiping off his sweat, he sighed, 'We really can't just stand there and do nothing. My muscles haven't done any work recently, now my body is sore all over!'

As he was deep in thoughts, Chi called.

'I'm dead beat tired,' Wu said lazily.

Chi smirked, 'You're tired after asking other people to do your job?'

'Who's saying about that?!' He gritted his teeth, 'I've done so much job.'

'What have you done?' Chi asked.

'I've cleared another room for Mr. Snakes...Opps, I meant Mrs. Snakes! They're really aggressive when laying eggs, I was trying to move them but they bit me! Luckily they're not poisonous...'

In the past, Wu had nothing to say to Chi, they could be in silence for 29 minutes for a half an hour call, they just coughed during the 1 minute. Now they could at least chat something, just random stuff that happened on that day, surprisingly Chi could listen to him.

'But funny thing is, I've always thought eggs come out from snakes' mouths, but it isn't! They have buttholes too, it dilates when laying eggs, haha...'

'You need to learn from them,' Chi meant a deeper meaning.

'Fuck off!'

There goes another cob down Chi's stomach, Chi was looking out the window, not sure what's going on in his mind.

Gang glanced over at Chi, he was puzzled. Chi wasn't acting normal recently! He always hung up within a few seconds, he doesn't usually call for over a minute, no matter if the person had anything to say, he would hang up after saying his piece. His friends always joked that he should balance the time he used to call and the time he needs to ejaculate. Now there's no need for that, every time Gang calls him, nine of ten times the caller is on the phone.

It wasn't the biggest problem yet, the thing that Gang couldn't get it is, Chi actually is chatting about this kind of useless, mundane stuff! Doesn't he hate people that nag with him? Why does he chat so much now?

Then, Chi lifted up his phone again.

Wu was about to scold him, but Chi spoke first with a deep voice.

'It's going to rain tomorrow, remember to bring an umbrella.'

Wu's lips parted, but he didn't know what else to say.
