79: Change of plans

It was the peak spawning season for the snakes now, Wu was busy whole day round. In the past, his apprentice alone was enough to look after the snakes, Wu just went out to meet some clients, but now they need to have duty slots to take care of the snakes. Wu didn't even have the time to sit down and drink some water, don't even say about contacting Chi. He would check his phone before going to bed at night, he realized that for these past few days of not contacting him, Chi didn't call him either. At night, he dragged his sore and tired body back to the clinic and saw Shuai was dozing off at his desk.

'It's so late now, why you're still here?'

'I haven't seen you in days,' Shuai said.

Wu had always left early in the morning and come back late at night for the past few weeks, he would be gone for the whole day, Shuai didn't even catch a glimpse of his shadows during this period of time.

Wu gulped down a cup of water, then said, 'I will end my work in a few days, I predict that I could sell the clutch of eggs for over $300k, I'll treat you a meal when I got the money.'

'What? Damn you earn a lot!' Shuai laughed, 'I'll just follow you, breed some snakes.'

'I feel you became fitter than ever,' Shuai praised.

Wu was busy shaving his beard, 'Really? Maybe because I trained some time ago.'

He then even looked at himself in the mirror narcissistically.

Shuai suddenly felt like even that action of Wu became sexier, so he decided that he's staying for the night.

The two squeezed on the single sized bed, Shuai asked, 'So how are you two?'

'I'm busy these few days, I didn't even bother him.'

Shuai was perplexed, 'He didn't contact you too?'

Wu felt the same way, 'Yeah, ever since I came back from his place, he didn't call me.'

'So when you went to his place last time, what did you guys do?'

Wu tried to avoid the extreme scenes at the end, he's afraid that he might get a boner in front of Shuai. He focused on recalling the previous scenarios, then told Shuai, 'That night we confessed a lot of our feelings and emotions, mostly about his sad stories.'
