"AARGH ....." Roared Kumar Subbayya toppling the centre table filled with wine and glasses. "I'LL KILL HER ....."
"Yes." Agreed Rani Maalavi Devi standing at the threshold of his chamber.
"YOU LEAVE BITCH ...." He spat.
"If I leave there shall be no one for you my sodāru." She replied.
"IS IT !?" He smirked. "You did nothing but sit with your fat filled haunches in the court. You did not dare stop your beloved son Amrendra...."
"I couldn't stop him then." She hissed.
"He is a hero in front of the court."
"HERO ! AND I'M THE VILLAN!" He spat out in rage. "I WILL....KILL YOUR BELOVED AMRENDRA AS WELL...."
He yelled.
"He will die for sure." Agreed Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj.
"You!" Chuckled Kumar Subbayya "Killing Amrendra... HA HAA HAAA HAA HAAA ......!" He burst out laughing like a drunk man. "You don't have the guts to say anything to him. OLD BRUTE !" He spat the insult out without a flinch.
"Amrendra was only an obligation not love." Mumbled the king. "My love is Maalavi Devi...."
"Then why did you marry that psychotic Pullamma Devi!?" Asked Kumar Subbayya frustrated.
"It was an alliance to make Aitareya Bhramana a strong kingdom." He replied. "Pullamma belonged to Pukshalam Rajya, one of the strongest kingdoms. To unite Aitareya Bhramana we needed alliance and my naana Raja Veerbhadra Mudiraj made a marriage alliance with the kingdom by marrying me off to her."
"Amrendra must die." Said Rani Maalavi Devi. "And along with him Avantika as well."
"Amrendra will kill Avantika and we kill Amrendra. Then Rudhra becomes samrat (king)." Said Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj.
"I have a plan ...." Said Kumar Subbayya with an evil smile over his sinful face.

"After this they may even plan to kill Anna." Said Kumar Rudhra.
Maithali kept pacing her room in deep thought, then stopped looked over to Kumar Rudhra and asked, "Why would they kill him?"
"He went against everyone in the court for you." He replied, "I have my doubts on maama and no one else, but yes, Amma wants me as king."
"No connection." She frowned. "How did maharani die?"
"No one knows. She just died in her sleep after anna's eighth birthday." He sighed.
