Kumar Amarendra stared at the old rotting hag in anger and ordered, "Spit what you want to say."

"Anna, this is impossible!!! You are believing such a man!" Exclaimed Kumar Rudhra.

"A man who knows that he is going to the next moment wouldn't dare to lie." Said Avantika.

"Rajguru Venkata, say." Ordered Rajguru Shankara.

"It all began years before you were born Kumar Amarendra." He began in a low voice. "During those times, Raja Vikram Dev was the king...."

"He had two queens, Maharani Mahadevi Gayatri Devi and Rani Pullamma Bhagyavati Devi, your amma

"He had two queens, Maharani Mahadevi Gayatri Devi and Rani Pullamma Bhagyavati Devi, your amma." He added, then paused for a breath.

"Raja Vikram Dev, had four sons from his first queen. Their names were Kumar Sudheer, Kumar Nayarana, Kumar Varun Dev and Kumar Vaibhavraj. Raja, did not have a son through Rani Pullamma Devi for nearly five years of their marriage, but that did not stop him from making her his chief consort." Rajguru Venkata paused for another breath then continued..... "Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj was Raja Vikram Dev's younger brother, and as per custom, the older one was made the king while the younger one was made the Senapati..."

"If Raja Vikram Dev was older and crowned king then.......how did nanna become king?" Asked Kumar Rudhra discombobulated.

"During those times, Maheshmati wasn't as powerful as it is today. Aitarya Brahmana was vulnerable to attacks by other kings from huge kingdoms. One such kingdom was Keralaputra, whose king was Raja Sri Sri Sri Krishnaraj Shekara."

"Then?" Asked Kumar Amarendra.

"Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj joined hands with the enemy and offered Raja Vikram Dev's life to him. Since Raja Sri Sri Sri Krishnaraj Shekara and Raja Vikram Dev were sworn enemies, he immediately agreed and promised to make Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj the king. A bloody battle was fought for three days and four nights. Raja Vikram Dev and his four sons were killed in the battle by none other than Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj. Maharani Mahadevi Gayatri Devi committed suicide on hearing the news of the loss of her husband and sons in battle."

"And amma?" Interrupted Kumar Amarendra.

"Maharani Pullamma Devi was in her maternal house in, Pukshalam Rajya. She was pregnant at that time, just conceived. When she came to know about the kings death, she took the entire matter into her hands. As promised, Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj was made king and Aitarya Brahmana came under his control. Maharani Pullamma Devi threatened Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj that Aitarya Brahmana would be attacked. In fear, Raja Ekchandra Mudiraj decided that it was best for friendly relations between the two kingdoms. Hence, he married her and she became the maharani. By that time...." He stopped and looked at Avantika, continuing, "Chandramukhi, was deflowered."
