"I'm gonna tell you to dad" Maymay teased Edward.
"Huh? Why? What did I do?" he asked innocently.
"You were not supposed to stay here at night!" she smiled at him.
"Babe, you suggested! Besides, who knew that the movie would finish so late? I had to bring you home first" he reasoned out.
"I know! Well, of course! I cannot afford to lose you baby! Besides, it's not like you have your car. Ate Laura has it for the weekend, right?" she asked.
"Yeah, she still does. I don't know why she just doesn't get a car of her own." Edward answered in an annoyed tone.
Maymay walked towards him, "Oh don't be such a baby twin. She borrowed it, and you said yes."
"Well, I don't know who she learned it from. But damn, she perfected the whole puppy eyes look that you do so well baby" he pulled Maymay closer to him. He put his hands on either side of her waist.
"Oh, like this?" she asked as she pouted in front of him, and does her own version of puppy eyes.
He pulled her closer, now Maymay is in between his legs, "Close twin. But you do it so sexy" he smiled before pulling her into a kiss.
*ALARM*
Maymay gets up and takes a deep breath, as she wipes away the tears that are starting to brim in the corner of her eyes. "No, I won't cry because of you again" she says out loud, as if she is trying to convince someone else. "I just really wish I can control my dreams." she adds.
She pulls the blanket up to her chest, trying to use it as a shield from all the reminders of her pain. Her room is all Edward, from the stuff toys on the floor, the pictures on her wall, some of the clothes in her closet, and his scent. "Why does my bedroom smell like Edward? How am I supposed to forget him if all my senses are still so aware of him?" she asks herself in her head.
She groans, "Dumbass, how could it be all? It's not like you can feel his touch." she answers out loud.
"But when I close my eyes, I can feel his touch. I can even taste his lips." she smiled at her thoughts.
"Ugh! Erase! Erase! Maymay, do not think about him! You are over him, remember?" she says out loud. "And stop talking to yourself girl! You look crazy! You. are. over. him." she convinces herself further.
Maymay decides that, today, her life begins. So, she reaches for her notebook on her side table, so that she could make her to-do-list.
🔸 Remove pictures of him in my room
🔸 Hide the bike in the garage or donate
🔸 Remove all the love notes on my wall
🔸 Put all of his belongings in a box--throw or return?
🔸 Rid everything that reminds me of Edward--everything except Toto
She puts the list on the side for now, and decides to have breakfast. As Maymay reached the kitchen, she found a note from her parents saying that they are already at work, and should she need anything, she can just call them. Maymay find it quite amusing really that even at the age of 25, her parents still treat her like a child--like their princess.
She never really told her parents about what happened between Edward and her--all they know is that Edward had to move to Canada for a great opportunity. And with that, it just didn't work out. They knew she was sad over the whole break up, but they didn't know about the depression, the drinking, and the cutting.
