EJ is rubbing her eyes as she enters Maymay's room. Her eyes instantly widens as she spots Edward, "Papa!" she yells excitedly.

"Yes, my little angel?" he asks as he recovers from the hot moment that he and Maymay were in just earlier.

"You.. here.. come.. back.." she cries as she tries to jump onto Maymay's bed. The height of the bed is quite high for her, but she does not care. She reaches for the blanket and tries her best to pull herself up, but was unsuccessful.

Seeing his daughter struggle, Edward immediately reaches for EJ and puts her on his lap. As he reaches for EJ's face, he wonders why is it wet--it was then then he realized that their baby has been crying. "Why are you crying? Are you okay, baby?" he asks as worry start to consume him.

"EJ.." she says as she points to herself, "is just..uhm.. happy, Papa. I thought.." she continues to sob.

Edward looks at Maymay as if asking for help, her eyes are also glazed with tears. "Are you crying too, love?" he asks.

Maymay reaches for her eyes, "No.." she sniffs. "Last night, she didn't want to sleep because she was demanding to see you. It has been two days after all. I didn't know what to say because she was just looking for you, and I didn't want to raise her hopes up. I said, there's a reason why you left and I really don't know when are you coming back.. but EJ here, she insisted that you will.. because..you love.. her." she finishes.

In reality, EJ said that Edward will come back because she loves them--Maymay and her. But, Maymay didn't want to include herself, because as Edward said, EJ would've been the best reason for him to come back then and herself was not enough.

"Oh, my baby." Edward says as she hugs EJ tighter in his arms. "I'm sorry. Papa is here now... and I won't leave you anymore, okay? I pro--"

"Edward.." Maymay calls his attention. "Please don't promise anything that you can't fulfil. I know Ella is young and all, but she is a very bright girl. She will--"

Edward glares at her, "I said, I promised May. And I intend to keep my promise to our daughter."

"Okay. I'm just saying." she says as she gets up from the bed.

"Where are you going?" he asks.

"Washroom. I just need to shower and change so I can make us breakfast." she smiles, but her smile does not reach her eyes. It is like sadness are still written in them.

"Okay." Edward responds as he puts her attention back to EJ. She just stays in his arms as she reaches for Edward's face and touches his forehead, to his eyes, his nose, and cheeks. It is like she is memorizing every part of her father's face. Her small hands on Edward's face is making his feeling of regrets deeper, and he silently promises to himself that he will do anything to make sure that his EJ is always happy.

Maymay's heart tightens at the view. It seems that Ella really wanted her father to be with her. "I am sorry, baby. Mom was too weak." she whispers before entering the bathroom.

As she brushes her teeth, the washroom door suddenly opens. Edward walks through it like the Greek god that he is.
