*THE NEXT MORNING*

"You're leaving already? It's only ten!" Dillon says the next morning as I slip on one of his hoodies over my tank top. I glance back at him. He's sitting on the bed in his boxers, arms behind his head.

"Actually I was going to make breakfast, but then I'm leaving." I pull my hair up into a messy bun.

"Whyyyyyy?" Dillon whines. He grabs my hips and pulls me onto the bed in one swift movement. His lips find mine and I smile as he kisses me.

"Jack's already gonna be pissed I didn't come home last night, plus aren't you coming over later anyways?" I ask him, running my fingers through his hair.

"Yes but I still don't want you to leave! Johnson'll get over it. Stayyyyy," Dillon tells me. His lips find mine again.

"Pleaaaaaaaase Em?" he coos as he kisses me.

"I don't have any clothes or makeup here Dillon, I have to go home." He pouts.

"Fine. I'll take you home after breakfast." We walk out of the bedroom and to the kitchen.

"Uh, Dill?"

"Yeah?"

"You don't have anything for breakfast," I say, looking through the cupboards.

"Yeah, I haven't exactly gone food shopping in a while...." Dillon runs his fingers through his hair. I laugh.

"Let's go out then, come on." Dillon looks down at his boxers.

"I should probably put pants on," he says. I giggle.

A half hour later we're walking into IHOP holding hands.

"Emily! Over here!" I hear a voice call. I look over to find JJ and Kelsi. Uh, okay.

"Hey girl, what's up?" I ask as we approach the table. Dillon slides in across from her and J and I slide in next to him.

"Just French toast and bacon."

"Aye Johnsons!" another voice yells. JJ and I both look, Gilinsky's walking in with Madison. They also come sit with us. Madison looks pissed.

"How was your night?" Kelsi asks me, wiggling her eyebrows. I smile and roll my eyes.

"Amazing," I tell her. We both start giggling.

"You could have at least called and let me know you weren't coming home," JJ says to me.

"Where were you?" G asks. Dillon slings his arm around my shoulders.

"Back at mine," he tells Gilinsky before kissing the side of my head.

"You stayed at Dillon's?!" G exclaims.

"Yes? Is that a problem?" G turns to JJ.

"And you were okay with this?" my French toast comes right then and I dig in to avoid conversation.

"G she's 20 years old. It's not like I can tell her what to do anymore."

"You're her brother Jack, aren't you supposed to look after her?" Gilinsky snaps. I start cutting into my second and last slice, eager to leave.

"Yeah but that doesn't mean I have to be stuck up her ass. Jesus G, what's your problem today?" Gilinsky rolls his eyes and shakes his head. I catch Kelsi's eye and motion toward the door. She nods.

"K well Kelsi and I are gonna go. See y'all later at our house," I tell the boys and Madison.

"Later babe," Dillon says with a wink.

"Here! Go shopping or something so I can get the house ready without your annoying ass getting in the way." JJ passes me his credit card. Madison and Gilinsky ignore me. Whatever. Kelsi and I head out and to her car.

"So....you and JJ?" I ask once we are pulling out of the parking lot.

"I know what you're thinking and no, I do not have a thing for your bro. It just got exhausting blowing him off so I'm rolling with it."

"Kelsi, you're my best friend and I'd do anything for you, but I swear to god if you break his heart I will have to kick the shit out of you," I tell her.

"I know, I know."

"Seriously girlfriend, it's in the Twin Rules." I grin and so does Kelsi.

"So G seemed pretty upset that you were with your boy Dillon last night," she says.

"I don't understand that kid. He gives me a headache." Kelsi laughs.

"Apparently him and his girl got into a fight last night. But I guess they're fine now."

"What? Where'd you get this incredibly piece of gossip?" I ask.

"Your bro told me this morning. She blew up about his hair or something." I roll my eyes.

"Typical Madison." A little while later we get to the mall. We stop at Starbucks before roaming around.

"Can I get ready at your house? It makes more sense than dropping you off, going home, and coming back," Kelsi says.

"Of course. What do you think of this one?" I ask, holding out a black lacey dress.

"I think you'll have Gilinsky AND Dillon drooling over you," she tells me. I grin before buying it. My phone rings with a text a moment later.

Gilinsky: I c u

I look around the store before seeing Jack in the window of the Forever 21 we were in. I roll my eyes.

"Idiot," I mumble.

"Be right back," I say to Kelsi who waves me off, too busy looking at pricetags.

"What?" I ask G as I walk up to him.

"I felt the need to apologize. I didn't mean to blow up at breakfast this morning. I'm sorry."

"I don't even get why you got so upset." I take a seat on a bench and he joins me.

"I just know how Dillon is when it comes to girls. He uses them and then throws them away like tissues. I just don't want to see you get hurt."

"No offense, but what do my boy issues have to do with you?"

"Em, you're like my little sister. I care about you so much." And there it is. I've been officially sister-zoned by the only guy I really care about romantically. Damn it.

"Well thanks for the concern but stay out of my love life. I can handle it." I stand up, ready to get away from Gilinsky and this conversation.

"Plus, don't you have a babysitting job or something?" I ask as I turn and walk back into the Forever 21. Kelsi is waiting by the door.

"I told you he only liked me as a little sister."
