The door to Jack and Mariana Gilinsky's house opens and in walks Johnson, loaded down with grocery bags. Since the baby was asleep and someone had to get the house ready, G had texted his best friend to stop and get some food for the upcoming cookout.
"Thanks pal, you can just set them on the counter," Mariana says to Johnson. After dropping the bags he looks around.
"Aren't you missing someone? A tiny someone? Goes by the name of Julian?" Johnson asks.
"He's still napping," Gilinsky says. At that moment the cries of Baby Gilinsky come through the baby monitor on the counter.
"I got him!!" Johnson yells as he runs up the stairs. A few seconds later G and Mari can hear Johnson talking to his godson.
"Who all is coming over?" Johnson asks as he comes back downstairs with the baby in his arms.
"Sam, Ally and Anna, Nate, Adriana and Trenton, Derek, Mia, Kaya and Kiara, and Swazz and Kira," Gilinsky says.
"Damn, I really need to get a girlfriend. All of my friends are getting married and having kids and what am I doing? Finishing an entire tv series on Netflix in a day and a half," Johnson says, making Mari and G laugh. The doorbell chimes and in walks Nate and Adriana with Trenton in his carseat.
"Yo homie, what's up?" Johnson says to the new arrivals.
"Hey, how's it going?" Nate responds. The guys do their signature handshake while Adriana unbuckles Trenton from his seat.
"I swear he gets bigger every time I see him," Mariana says, reaching to take the kid from his mom.
"Nate you did not buy you and your son matching outfits," Gilinsky says. Nate just grins.
"Of course he did, does that really surprise you?" Adriana asks as she takes Julian from Johnson.
"I think it's adorable. You're getting so big T!" Mariana says, tickling Trenton's tummy and making him giggle.
"Okay, well we'll let you two commence with the baby talk. We're gonna go out and get the grill started," Gilinsky says. The girls wave them off and they disappear outside.
"The high chair is in the pantry if you wanna put T in it so you don't have to worry about him in the carseat. Julian is still too small for it," Mariana tells Adriana. After settling the boys in the high chair and the bouncer, the two start on preparing food.
"How's motherhood treating you?" Adriana asks.
"Pretty good. I'm exhausted all the time though, plus this baby fat is starting to bum me out and I just feel gross. Jack assures me that I look fine but it's just my mindset ya know?" Mari says. Adriana nods in understanding.
"Yeah, I feel you girlfriend. We should go hit up a gym soon. The guys will be fine on their own for an hour or two. Sam's trainer is supposed to be really good, I'm sure we could get in with him," Adriana tells the other girl.
"That'd be cool, I used to be in such good shape, and then Julian happened," Mari says.
"I mean, you still look beautiful babe," Gilinsky says, coming in to grab a lighter from the cupboard. He kisses Mari's cheek before exiting again.
"Aunt Mari!!!" a voice chimes out as the front door opens again. Anna runs through the house, throwing herself into Mari's arms.
"Hey girlie! I missed you!" Mariana tells Sam and Ally's daughter.
"I missed you more! I brought you a present!" Ally hands Mari a piece of paper.
"See? That's me and that's Julian and we're at the beach!" Ally exclaims, pointing excitedly at the paper.
"It's wonderful. Wanna hang it on the fridge?" Ally nods and moves to put her drawing on the refrigerator.
"Hey Mari," Sam says, hugging her and then moving to Adriana.
"Hey girls," Ally says.
"The other three are outside by the grill Sam, here take this out with you," Mari says, handing him a tray of burgers and hotdogs.
"I have big news!" Ally says, leaning against the edge of the counter top. Adriana walks over to dump some cheerios on Trenton's tray before rejoining the other two.
"I picked out the bridesmaids dresses! They're all set you guys just have to go in and get them adjusted and whatnot. The sooner the better please!" Ally says.
"Oh my gosh I can't wait, it's getting so close!" Adriana exclaims.
"I can't believe our best friend is getting married, it seems like you and Sam have only been together for like two weeks!" Mari says.
"Mommy can we go swimming now?" Anna asks, pulling on Ally's dress.
"If you go get dressed we can," Ally tells her. Anna rushes off to change and Adriana and Mari grab their boys to go upstairs as well.
After changing into swim suits and applying sunblock to all three kids, the girls and babies head back down and outside.
"Are Luh and Mia coming?" Ally asks.
"They said they were, I thought they were right behind us since they were at our place before this, maybe they stopped to change or something," Adriana says. Just then the doorbell rings and in walks Derek, Mia, Kaya, Kiara, John, and Kira. The two young girls run off with Anna to the backyard to get in the pool, pausing briefly to say hi to the grownups.
"Hello ladies," Derek says, hugging Mari, Adriana, and Ally in turn. John copies his movements.
"To the backyard we go," Mari says. The seven of them walk out to where the other three guys are standing around the grill, the three little girls are already in the pool.
"What's up familia?" Swazz asks as the guys once again do their signature handshake.
"Remind me again when your due date is," Mia asks Kira.
"In a week. John and I just decided on a name today, he has been putting it off since we found out we were pregnant."
"What'd you choose?" Adriana asks.
"Kaiden James. He wanted it to be Blunt but I refused to let him call our child that," Kira says.
"Lord, our husbands are weird," Mari says.
"Definitely," Ally agrees. The other three nod.
"You know, we're standing right here and can hear every single thing you say about us," Nate says.
"And you know we're just being honest, you guys are weird," Mia responds. The boys look at each other and nod once in silent understanding. Before the women can do anything, each of their significant others is scooping them up (except John and Kira because of the whole pregnancy thing) and tossing them into the pool.
"Yay the mommies are swimming too!" Kaya calls from the shallow end, meanwhile all the guys are dying of laughter.
"You're all hilarious," Ally says, pulling herself out of the water and grabbing a towel from the table.
"We know," Sam says.
"But you love us," Gilinsky responds, kissing Mari's lips.
"Cooties!" Kaya, Kiara, and Anna call from the pool. Everyone laughs. It's a good day for family, friends, and barbecued food.
