Jack's P.O.V.

"Figure it out," Bella says, batting her eyelashes before walking away, swaying her hips slightly. Damn. She even makes walking look like an art form.

"Wait up," I call after her. I catch up with her at a basketball shooting game.

Okay, here's the deal. I met Bella at one of Jack and I's shows last year. We hit it off, got super close, and I totally and completely fell head over heels for her. But I didn't make a move because I knew we were going to be leaving soon and that the distance thing was hard. Plus I had just broken up with Madison so I couldn't really move on that quick without everyone freaking out about it. Anyways, we went on tour and I really was busy and plus I didn't really get the timezone thing because we changed countries so frequently. So I didn't text Bella really. But I kept up with her life on social media. And when I got back to L.A. last week, the first thing I wanted to do was call her up and hang out. But I had meetings and studio sessions and an album to get going so I couldn't. And I knew she had a boyfriend and that killed me inside so I didn't want to do or say something stupid that would ruin our friendship. But now, she's single, flirting, and I need to do something. But I don't want her to think she has to rebound so quickly after what's-his-face cheated on her. So I'll have to be careful, and gentle, and remember that she just got cheated on and is vulnerable.

"What are you doing?" Bella asks as I point my camera at her as she starts shooting baskets.

"Nothing," I say as I snap the picture and post it to Snapchat.

"You're losing horribly is what you should have said," she says as she continues shooting. I look to see her scoreboard at 100 while mine is still at zero.

"Jesus I wasn't ready!" I say as I try to catch up. Bella laughs. She wins the game and does a cute victory dance that I record and also post on Snapchat.

"Stop taking pictures of me!" she says when she realizes my camera is pointed at her again. She covers her face and I laugh but put my phone away.

"Where to next?" I ask her.

"I don't know, let's just walk until we see something that looks fun," she says. So we start walking. I wrap my arm around her shoulders.

"Ooh let's do the photobooth!" she squeals when she sees it.

"Your wish is my command Princess," I say as I pull the curtain open and she climbs into the booth. We click on the correct settings before the countdown starts. We make funny faces and serious ones and on the last one she kisses my cheek.

"Awe they're so cute," she says when our pictures have printed.

"Probably because I'm in them," I say as we exit the booth. Bella rolls her eyes but smiles.

"Dork," she says.

"I know you are but what am I?"

"You're lame is what you are," she says. I laugh.

"What now?" I ask as we start walking again.

"I don't know, what now?"

"Wanna get out of here? We can go back to your apartment and watch movies or something," I say.

"Sure, sounds like a great plan," she says. So we leave. We make the short drive back to Bella's place and I follow her up to her apartment.

"I'm gonna go change out of my jeans real quick, I'll be right back," she says as she unlocks the front door and we walk in.

"Make yourself comfortable. There's drinks in the fridge and you can pull up Netflix on the TV," she says as she walks into her bedroom. I take a seat on the couch and turn the TV on, scrolling through Netflix to try and find something to watch. The new Beauty and the Beast movie is streaming so I choose that. After about five minutes, Bella still hasn't come out of her room.

"Did you get lost?" I call. She doesn't respond. Concerned, I get up off the couch and slowly walk to her bedroom.

"Bells?" I call softly. I hear sniffling and paper tearing and push the door open to see her with torn photos in her hand and scattered around the room.

"I guess I'm not as okay as I thought."
