"What did I tell you about crossing me Sonseeray" my father, the man I once looking up to and wanted to be the female version of spat coldly in my face. I looked down feeling defeated. He took my silence as a sign of disrespect causing his to smack me with all his strength.

"What did I tell you about that quiet shit. Answer my damn question" he said into my face. "It never ends well" I mumbled. I don't understand how I'm in this place. Where is Rakim, Gerald and Terren. Most importantly where is Jarius. "You really testing me with that mumble shit " he yelled. "It never ends well" I spoke a little louder for him to hear.

He chuckled evil before taking out his pistol and pointed it at my head. "You should have stay home with me mama". He's finger reached the trigger...

"Who's there?" I yelled pointing my gun at the door. "Ray... " I saw Jarius standing there with a scared look. I quickly put my gun under my bed. "What happen mamas ?" I asked glancing at the digital clock on the nightstand. 4:12am. "Ray I'm scared can I sleep with you?" Jarius asked quietly. Ever since that day the men broke into my house Jarius has been having recurring nightmares.

"Of course come on" I said tapping a spot next to me. She climbed in as stared up at the ceiling. "will bad stuff keep happenin to us?" She asked looking me in my eyes. "Of course not you birthday is in 3 days no more bad stuff" I said kissing her forehead. "Ray?" She said quietly after a long silence. "Yes Jarius " I asked half asleep.

I could hear her hesitating before speaking "I get bullied" she said lowly. I sat up and turned on the lamp. "By who?" I huffed. This is the unnecessary bullshit I be talking about how can you bully her. "This boy name Donavon. He calls me ugly and he tells me I'm a junky and have no family" she sniffled. I pulled her into my chest as she cried. "Don't listen to him you do have a family you have me, Jade, Terren, Gerald, Rakim, mama tawana and more that love you unconditionally" I said kissing her face. "What does unconditional mean ?" He giggled out pushing my face away from her.

"The way I'm using it means there is no limit to the amount of love we have for you. We love you no matter what. As for that ugly and junky bullshit don't believe any of that. I bet you have more money than that boy. You go to school every day in some designer stuff I bet he can't pronounce. Don't listen to no negative stuff people say they are just hater that wanna be like you" she nodded.

"Just keep your head up and get good grades once he sees your not paying him attention he will leave you alone. And if he doesn't I'm coming to the school and talking to him." I laid back pulling her into my chest. "I love you Jarius I really do" I whispered closing my eyes. "I love you too Sonseeray" she smiled. "Aye yo can I sleep with y'all ?" I heard Jades raspy voice. I moved towards jarius more so my back was to Jade.

He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me into his chest. "And I love y'all".

A couple hours later Jarius and I were up getting ready for school. I look a shower and fishtail braid my hair before getting dressed. I put on black jeans with a black Tommy Hilfiger half zip sweatshirt. I slid on my black puma creepers with a white Fendi belt. I laid my edges and put on my gold hoops and watch.

I sprayed perfume before going to check up on Jarius. She wore khaki pants with a white button down and her navy blue ti. I made sure her braided hair with beads were still neat and beautiful before I gave her her coat. "Gerald is going to pick you up and take you to practice. Don't leave with anyone else but him unless I come ighh". She nodded handing me my sports bag.
