Aona, Darna, Tara literally mean First, Second, Third.

The Danna (or Tue Dannan — people of planet Dannan) — this word has many meanings: danna — molten earth (molten rock); fiery red (lava) color; redhead; healthy; burning; blazing. The name of the planet Dannan means "wet earth, soil". A Dan — the language of the Commonwealth; the word means "speech of the Danna".

Medas — "not on fire, cold"; nationality Medan literally translates as "bloodless", which is not an insult.

Quennah — a Dan word, quenna means woman (as in female); –h at the end of the word refers to the name of an object, not a person (in this case it is a ship with female star seeds and its Kernels have their own names). Female Danna names end with –a, male with –en, –an, –n. Medan names have more loose system.

Rabhain — a headgear/interface (especially for those without soma) for various tasks, including gearbot operation.

Rjgnis — honorifics; little lady, and the way to address a girl in general; a woman is called regna. (The male forms are rjgnan for a boy and rjg for a man.) Rjg is also the title of the Head of kennar Falgh (the main and oldest kennar in the Commonwealth) regardless of gender.

Sla — the home star of the Danna (the adjective slan implies solar, healthy, redhead, fiery, free from illness).

Star seed is a Danna person who was created from donor sex cells (not a clone), grown in vitro and engineered further (as much as soma allows modification) to be integrated with a space vessel, but has a known mother and father, and is blood-related to the kennar of the ship-builders. Still, he/she keeps all biological functions of a regular person. Life span is extended, but not unlimited.

Tirran Og — "place of our youth"; this is how the whole Commonwealth, including the Danna themselves, call the Danna home system, a place of origin.

Tjrnenagh — "Thunderstorm"

Very High Altitude — Altitude is defined on the following scale: High (8,000 - 12,000 feet [2,438 - 3,658 meters]), Very High (12,000 - 18,000 feet [3,658 - 5,487 meters]), and Extremely High (18,000+ feet [5,500+ meters])

Enjhs — "daughter"

Nnan — short for "njhan", son, and also short for "muinnan", son-in-law

Related relationship concepts:

darnamuinnan — the second son-in-law

taramuinnanaireasagh the troublesome third son-in-law; the precise meaning would be 'two [guys] are always right [for a girl] and [her] third [man] is always trouble, but never mind, he's [already/potentially] family too.' It is the Law term that brings the person under the responsibility (and protection) of the accepting people, when a girl's feelings are involved, and the male and the girl have a deep connection and experience from the events they have gone through together. Also known as "the third man", a male friend or a spouse of one's daughter that does something stupid

Nan-i-rjg — addresses two specific people; lit. "boy and man/parent" — speaking to a man and a child as a group, could be father and young son, or unrelated men, or mother and son. Addressing a group of mother and daughter or father and daughter, or man/woman and a girl is En-i-rjg

Sibhainagh "Tempest"

Yarsh-d'n masculine singular of Yarsh (feminine singular form is Yarsh'n). Yarsh are the strongest young adults or older Baali, both male and female, who already have extensive families of their own (or are seeking to start one) and are responsible for the Motherworld they live on. They are the protectors of large flocks of kids and the youngest ones; they usually command a whole 'army' of their vast family tree — their own adult children and grandchildren and so on — which can be mobilized in moments

Yajur an adult Baal (male) or Baalat (female) who commands all of the Yarsh of their Motherworld System or Enclave, or both

Asha the wandering Baali who left their home world or Enclave to build their own Motherworld, or simply to find another place to live
