"You can start over, each morning."
While walking I stumbled upon a small café called "Coffee and Conversations"
They had a board put up which read that they were hiring.
I decided to try my luck here. There's no harm in trying.
As soon as I opened the door, the bells on the door chimed. It was a beautiful café. Small, cozy and perfect! The decor was simple but elegant. It was well lit, the colour scheme mainly consisted of shades of blue and white. Every table had a vase of lillies and the café gave a very calm and relaxing vibe.
Being a tuesday morning, there were quite a lot of people, sipping on their coffees while either reading newspapers or just hanging out with friends and playing board games. Apparently, the café had a huge shelf which consisted of board games and books so that the customers can have a gala time. I was begining to like this place more and more with every passing minute!
Walking up to the counter, I enquired about the vacany and the job which was being offered. I thought it might consist of waitressing but to my surprise they were looking for a cashier.
After having a chat with the person in charge, he immediately offered me the job.
According to him, I was the right person for this job.
I did not have my resumé with me but the manager was kind enough to ignore it and asked me to bring it tomorrow. All I had to do was fill out a form which basically was giving my personal details such as name, address and contact number.
My shift would be from 9am to 5pm and the pay wasn't that bad.
I had to literally control my urge to squeal with happiness. Finally something nice is happening in my life!My boss was a really laid back person. He was an Indian and he owned a couple of branches of the café in other cities. Other than owning the café, Rohit Varma (my boss) loved to play golf and owned a club which was a ten minute drive from here. Sebestian, the previous cashier explained me all the things which I would have to do. The job was really simple. This would do for now.
It isn't that great for a living but I'll let that pass for now as I desperately need a job and this café just got my heart.
There were very few staff members but all of them seemed very friendly."Heyyyy! Finally there's a girl who'll be working here" the girl who was dressed in a black skirt and a beige button down shirt happily chirped. She had a huge smile plastered on her pale skin and her grey eyes seemed to be dancing with happiness! I instantly liked her.
"Hi, I'm Ashley Thorne""Elena"
"So are you a student?" I asked her.
I was really awkward at making conversations! I mean what would you usually ask when you meet a new person? I sometimes feel like Chandler and the only thing that pops in my head is either really silly or something which might make the other person run for the hills!"Nope! Just working because I'm crushing on Rohit" That made me laugh.
I mean, sure he was cute and charming with black hair styled up perfectly and wore a shirt that fit him well enough to see that he had defined abs beneath!
Indian guys sure have a different charm.
I spent most of my afternoon chatting with Elena. She is a lively person and loves spending time with her friends.
She was 24, wants to travel the world and take up different jobs and experience life as much as she can! I found myself sharing about my life with her, mentioning about my lack of socializing, major crush on Damon and the love for fashion.I felt happy, like actually happy for the first time in three years.
Life was taking a good turn. Lets hope it will lead me to happiness.
So do you guys think Rohit is the one? Might reveal who the male lead is in the next chapter!:P
