30: Trouble

"That awkward moment when you realize you're falling in love and all you can think is, 'oh crap.' "

"You're backkkkkkk." Derek squealed like a cute little kid engulfing me in a tight embrace.

"Can't breathe." I choked.

"You're such a drama queen." He rolled his eyes at me handing me a bouquet of lilies.

"You did not have to do this." I blushed smelling the flowers.

"I just wanted to." He rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

Now, thats a totally different side of Derek. I don't think I can handle this side, it is making me nervous.

"Thank you." I said giving him a side hug.

"I know you love roses more but the ones he had weren't looking so fresh so I settled on.." he went on rambling.

"I loved it." I smiled brightly at him.

"Parents are on a small vacation like I told you so spend the night at my place?" He asked.

"So we have the entire house to ourselves." I wiggled my eyebrows at him.

"Do you have something in mind because I know a lot of things which we could do." He said in a waggish manner.

"Sure." I replied sarcastically.

"Let me help you with it." He offered to grab my bag.

"We're ordering food. I'm starving." I whined once we were in his car.

"So did you get me anything?"

"Amm, will Sarah's number work?" I bit my lip since everything there was just so expensive and I can't really afford to spend any more money.

"That blonde? Ahh totally!" He grinned.

"Thought so." I chuckled.

"You know what Ash?" He gave me a serious look.

"What?"

"You can have the portkey to my heart." He winked.

"How long have you been waiting to use this line?"

"Since the moment I saw you?" He smirked making me laugh and he laughed along too.

God how I missed this. Even if had just been four days, I missed him. His laugh is just so damn heart warming.
A moment to say how good he looks right now wearing black jeans, black v neck and a denim jacket over it whereas I'm just wearing a casual t-shirt dress.

Also, let me not forget to appreciate the gesture of picking me up. When I moved to New York, only Parker had come to drop me and since then I've never really travelled so no such cute air port scenes for me. Plus, the lilies! He's just the best guy ever!

"You have arrived your destination, ma'am."

"Great. You can be my personal chauffeur." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Gladly." He said amused.

"So when are they getting back?" I asked while he kept on shuffling between the keys.

"After two days."

"Coco is with them?" I pouted.

"Unfortunately, yes."

"How can you not know which is the right key?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Maybe because I keep crashing at yours?" He gave a sheepish look.
"Ahh. You try." He groaned.
