In the name of 'Friendship' [COMPLETED]

21: Road trip

"I want to go on a roadtrip. Just you and me. The highway, the radio, the blue sky, the back roads and windows down. We'll talk about everything and nothing. We'll sing our hearts out and we'll make memories we'll never forget."

I changed into a pair of denim shorts as  they're way more comfortable than jeans. I tossed an extra tshirt and some basic toiletries in my backpack. Since I was already wearing my sneakers, I just added a pair of flip flops. I have no clue what else to take with me since I'm guessing we'll be back tonight, so I just left.

"Ready?" Derek asked while keeping my bag in the back of his car.
He was wearing a blue jeans, white tshirt and the jacket I gifted him over it. It did look great on him. I couldn't help but smile as he wore it today itself.

"Yes."

"We'll quickly stop at a store to pick up some food and then head straight for Catskills."

"Okay." I said getting in.

We picked up chips, popcorn, cookies, gummy bears, granola bars and a few cans of soda to munch on during travelling.

"Where is Catskills exactly?" I asked him while already scarffing down the gummy bears.

"Catskill mountians is a a place in southeastern New York known for its wildlife reserves and also some adventure sports. Catskill is a small village having historical significance." He said.

I'm really excited to see how this place turns out.

"So how far is it?"

"About a six hour drive." Derek shrugged.

"What? Then how are we supposed to return home by tonight?" I freaked out.

"I never mentioned we're returning tonight." He smirked.

"So we're staying over there?"

"Yes. I asked Dad to book rooms in a resort."

"Ohh."

"Lets play some game?" I asked him.

"License plate decoder?" He suggested.

"What?"

"We'll pretend as if every car's license plate has some personalized message and decode it?"

"Sounds fun."

"I got one." I said spotting a car ahead of us. The number plate read 'FYD 695'

"For your daddy 69 position 5 times a week."

"Didn't know you had such a dirty imagination." Derek smirked.

"You're not so lucky to see that side."

"So jealous of Nathan." He said sarcastically.

"We broke up."

"What? When?"

"Last night. I forgot to mention it. It wasn't going to work anyways. I see him as a friend and not more than that." I explained.

"Maybe you'll find someone in Catskills."

"Nah. I'm done with guys."

"Got one."

"Damn enormous breasts, 38 cup size?" He said chuckling.

"Yuck." I said laughing.

"What? I thought we were just having a steamy version of the game." He said giving an innocent smile.
