12: Surprise

"Let life catch you by surprise."

Ding Dong. Ding Dong.

I woke up groaning at the sound of the doorbell.

•6.05am•

Who the fuck is showing up at my doorstep on a sunday morning at fucking 6am?

"Coming" I shouted getting up from my bed. On opening the door, I found six heads staring back at me.

"Morning sleepy head." Ashton grinned.

I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Seriously? Its 6am. Don't you guys have any better thing to do than wake me up?" I complained.

"You didn't tell her?" Derek asked Elena.

"You were supposed to inform her."

"No, you were." He mentioned.

"Inform me about?" I questioned.

"Ohh you know the benefits of waking up early." Jacob replied sarcastically.

Urgh. I walked back inside and sat on the
couch. I was still startled by their sudden appearance at this early hour. All I could do was stew around in confusion.

"We're going to Coney Island. I was supposed to tell you about this yesterday after work but Nathan showed up and then I completely forgot to tell you about it." Elena explained sheepishly.

I looked up at Derek who just avoided my gaze. I knew it was his idea. I mentioned it to him the day we had dinner with his mom and he planned it so fast!

"Go get ready." Charlotte said.

"The tickets are booked so you can't bail. We'll be taking mine and Rohit's car and since only two people can fit in mine, you girls have the golden opportunity to decide who'll ride with me." Derek smirked.

I just rolled my eyes at him.

"Whatever. You guys decide and let me know. I'll be back in a few." I shrugged.

I quickly brushed, took a shower and got dressed into a pair of denim shorts and a sky blue hoodie over it. It took me little long to find my backpack but once I found it, I just added an extra pair of clothes, wallet, perfume and tissues.
I need to start saving money. All of my savings might just end seeing the amount of times I've been going out with them.

I wasn't in the mood to apply any sort of makeup so just wore my black sneakers and left.

"I'm here." I said fixing the strap of my backpack.

"Where are the others?" I asked Derek as he was the only person in my living room. Yes, he decided to wait there for a change instead of sitting behind the kitchen counter with either my magazines or laptop!

"You were taking too long as usual so they went to pick up some breakfast and will meet us there directly." He explained.

"Ohh."

"Hurry up now. Its a two hour drive." he said getting up.

"So I'm stuck with you for two hours?" I pouted.
