Nova scans the room again, seeing no trace of Dee. 'You sure she didn't leave?' he asks. 'Nah,' Lexy starts. 'She was with ole dude when I went to the bathroom but I know she ain't leave with him.' 'She could've left on her own though,' he mumbles, giving the room a third scan. He spies her jacket on a random chair but no Dee. So she's still here, but where? 'I'mma go ask around.' He starts off. 'Aight but hey,' Lexy calls after him. 'Remember who you really hurtin'.' He nods turning back around. She not even on my mind right now. I just need time with Dee.
He walks aimlessly, trying to find the best person to ask when he's stopped by Peach. 'What you doing man?' she says. 'Nothin', you see where Dee went?' She smiles, 'Oh, she went out back.' 'That dude still here?' 'What? Oh nah, he been left.' He nods, 'Thanks.' 'Noooo problem,' she drawls. He looks back seeing her smiling and slowly following him. She better not be setting me up. He exits, closing the glass door behind him. He's instantly cut off from the music and talking. As his eyes adjust, he searches for Dee.
Inside, Peach rushes to the glass door, locking it behind Nova. She shoots Latto a thumbs up peeping out to make sure he finds her.

Dee sighs peacefully, the cool breeze a relief on her bare shoulders. The crunch of footsteps nearing startle her. She turns to see who it is and frowns, quickly turning back around. 'How you ignore me all night on the same stage,' Nova questions, taking a seat beside her on the deck. 'Anything's possible,' she mumbles. He doesn't respond, instead observing her, top to bottom.
'I miss you.' 'No, you don't,' she replies. 'I've been worried about you too.' 'No, you're not.' 'You saying that doesn't take away how I feel.' She says nothing, a grim expression on her face. 'I was doing what you asked,' he starts. Great time to start listening. 'You really mad at me?' She says nothing, popping her fingers to keep from responding.
'Friends don't ki--' 'I heard you the first time, damn. I don't need to hear it again. I'm going back,' she says. 'Don't leave,' he says quietly. 'Why? We don't have nothing to talk about.' 'I'm just tryna spend time with you. I probably won't see you once we get to Atlanta.' 'Yeah, cause wifey gonna be stuck up under you, right?' He says nothing, eerily calm despite her anger. She stands, stomping to the door. She tries to open it but it's locked. She knocks on it, getting Latto's attention. 'Unlock the door,' she says. Latto pretends to not hear her, drawing the blinds closed.
Dee bangs on the door. 'Open the damn door Latto!' She pauses, calming herself down. 'Peach, come unlock the door please.' Nothing. 'Jae?' Still nothing. 'Ughh! So tired of this scheming ass bullshit!' She stomps back to the steps, flopping down far from Nova. He smirks at her tantrum. Please, don't say anything stupid. 'I really do miss you.' 'Oh my god, will you stop already with the bullshit? You played me, AGAIN and for some reason, I keep letting you do it.' He says nothing, silently watching her with a warm smile.
'So you just not gon' say nothing?' 'You get hella sexy when you yell,' he responds. 'I'm serious Nova, why can't you--' 'I'm not gonna argue with you Dee. I just want some time with you.' 'Then why can't we do that inside?' He shrugs. 'You know Latto always being somebody matchmaker.' She huffs, folding her arms and frowning. 'Smile babygirl, it's not that serious.' 'Don't ever tell me that,' she snaps. He puts his arms up in defense, 'Shit, damn, my bad, look however you want. You cute either way.' She lets out a laugh then stops, resuming her frown.
'So you gonna let me have my dance?' he asks. Ain't no way-- 'What dance?' The one you skipped out on to talk to whoever that lil' nigga was,' he says, standing and putting out his hand for her. 'Hmph, he was taller than you though.' He sucks his teeth as she laughs. 'And friends don't dance.' she adds. 'You dance with Key.' 'That's different.' 'How?' 'Cause I'm not tryna be with Key. She sighs, taking his hand. 'Whatever.'
