"Hey, Remus, Peter!" James called as he ran into the Common Room. "You gotta see this girl." He bent over, catching is breath.
Sirius hurried behind them. "Yeah, dude," he said to Peter. "This girl is totally hot, okay. Fifth year Ravenclaw. Smoking."
"Yeah, Sirius and I saw her, okay, and we got to thinking..."
"What if we took the invisibility cloak..."
"And followed her into the lavatory..."
"And took pictures of her..."
"Naked!" They finished the sentence together and laughed.
Peter's eyes widened. "No way! You can't do that, guys. You'll get in so much trouble."
Sirius put his arm around Peter. "Peter, buddy, pal, best bloke. Listen to yourself. When has the cloak ever failed us?"
"Imagine..." James trailed off.
Silvia, who sat next to Peter, had been gaping at the two boys in complete shock. "You guys are disgusting! Something like that would be highly inappropriate. Do you even think with your brains?"
"Of course we do, Silly Silvia," James said ruffling her hair.
"There's no way you can even take a picture of her," Silva said, rolling her eyes at the cocky boys.
"Wanna bet, Lupin?" Sirius asked, stepping forward.
"You know what, yeah. Lets bet on it. If you two don't get a picture of that girl by the end of tomorrow night, then you'll each have to confess your undying love for Moaning Myrtle!"
The boys looked at each other and raised an eyebrow, shrugging. "You're on, little girl. And if- I mean when- we get a naked picture of this goddess, you will have to profess your love for..." Sirius paused to think.
"Snivellus!" James declared.
Silvia thought of past experiences with him. "No! Not Severus," she whined.
"Can't back out now," Sirius said.
James made a kissy face. "Oh, Snaveley! I love you!" He said in a girly voice. Silvia pouted angrily.
After the laughter died down, Sirius asked, "where's Remus?"
"Didn't you hear?" Peter explained. "He was called down to the headmaster's office."
James snickered. "Probably receiving an award. The 'Only Student Who Pays Attention in Muggle Studies' award."
Everyone laughed except for Silvia, who muttered, "I pay attention in Muggle Studies."
Suddenly, loud footsteps were heard from the other side of the fat lady. Sienna emerged, winded. "Silvia! Is Remus okay?" She asked, catching her breath.
Silvia looked at her, suddenly alarmed. "What d'you mean? Did something happen?"
"Well, the school tried to keep it hush-hush. Lydia told me that Anastasia told her that Arlin told her that Thaddeus told him that Regulus told him that Blaire told him that Dixie told her that..." She took a deep breath. "There's been another attack just this morning."
Silvia gasped. "What happened?"
"It was Charlie O'Hara, Dixie's sister. She's a third year. They found her outside of the Ravenclaw common room as broken up and unconscious. She can only say one thing when they asked her questions."
Silvia sighed. "My brother's name."
"Yes!" Sienna cried. "Now everyone is reminded of what happened at the beginning of the year. They really think Remus is a monster now."
"That's impossible!" Peter squeaked. "I shared a bed with Remus last night. He hardly moved all night."
The group all turned to stare at him. "Peter," Silvia said. "Why were you sleeping in Remus's bed last night?"
His face quickly reddened. "I-I have nightmares." He turned away and opened up a random book to a random page and began reading.
"Whatever," Sirius said. "Peter has an alibi, a very strange alibi. We can still use it."
"Yeah," Sienna added. "Let's march right down to Dumbledore's office right now and tell him!"
"I think I'll just stay here," Peter piped up awkwardly.
"No," James said, dragging Peter by his arm. "You're the one with the alibi. You better come with us."
He squealed as he was dragged out of the common room. The five of them stepped out of the Fat Lady's portrait to see Blaire and Calypso attempting to comfort a distraught Dixie O'Hara. Blaire gave Silvia a warning look before Dixie spotted her.
"There she is!" Dixie cried, pointing to Silvia. "How could you?"
Silvia put her hands up. "Dixie, I'm so sorry-"
"Sorry? I thought we were friends!"
"I don't see why we can't still be friends." Silvia was grasping at straws. She knew that Dixie was reacting very rashly.
"We were friends and you let your freak of a brother attack my sister! Why didn't you stop him?" She cried.
"Woah, woah, woah. Wait a second," Sirius stepped in. "Look, Remus didn't attack your sister, okay?"
"He wouldn't hurt a fly let alone another human being," Sienna added.
"Oh, what's next?" Dixie asked. "You're going to tell me that he didn't attack Hermes Hornby either?"
James stepped in. "That's right. He didn't attack Hermes either."
"Keep living in your fantasies," Dixie declared. "Keep living in a world where you don't see how much of a monster your friend truly is." She strutted away, red faced and plastered in tears. Calypso quickly followed. Blaire lingered behind.
"I'm sorry, Silvia," she said. "I don't want to believe that Remus did this, but Dixie might be right." She walked away sadly.
Sirius turned to his friends. "She can't even defend her own cousin, stupid fatty."
"Don't be mean to her, Sirius. She's a leader who also follows. She can't help it," Silvia said as a tear slid down her cheek. Sienna wiped it away comfortingly.
After a long silence, James spoke up. "I think we ought to be heading towards Dumbledore's office." The others nodded in agreement as they began to move.

Remus sat once again in Dumbledore's office, staring at his shoes.
Dumbledore, once again, did not face the boy as he spoke. "After what happened to Mr. Hornsby, I had decided to make an attempt at clearing your name. I didn't believe that it was possible for you to do such damage. I know you keep up with your monthly visits to the shrieking shack. I do not want to believe that this was your responsibility. However, I am we'll aware of your night adventures with Mr. Potter, Mr. Black, and Mr. Pettigrew. With this knowledge in mind, I have no reason not to believe that you are not responsible for these attacks."
"Please, sir," Remus begged. "My friends don't know what I am. They would never hurt anyone, sir. I swear."
"Unless I am given an acceptable alibi in the next thirty seconds, I will have no choice than to expel you. I'm sorry, Remus."
"Wait!" James yelled as five children hurried into the room. "If it's not too late, Peter here has an alibi."
Peter's face turned redder than Fawkes, who squawked cheerfully in his cage.
"Go ahead, Mr. Pettigrew."
"W-well, I have nightmares, and-" he took a deep breath. "Sometimes, when the nightmares are b-bad, R-Remus lets me share a bed with him."
Remus covered his face. "This is your alibi?"
"Hear him out," James argued. "Go on, Peter."
"Um, last night I had a nightmare. It was horrible. I was being chased by a giant three-headed slug, and-"
"Peter!" Sirius yelled. "We don't care about the dream. Give him the alibi."
"Oh, r-right. Well, Remus shared his bed last night with me. I'm an incredibly light sleeper, so I know when he gets up to go to the toilet."
"Peter, please," Remus begged. "The alibi."
"Yes, of course. He didn't get out of bed all night. He slept right through till morning."
"I see," Dumbledore said. "You boys are very loyal to your friend. What reason do I have to not expel him?"
"Well," James began. "For starters, he's innocent."
"We can prove it!" Sirius cried.
"How do you suppose you do that, Mr. Black?"
"Guard's down, right? The Unknown Soldier is bedridden. I propose that James, Peter, and I all take turns as guard."
"Yeah," James added. "Then we can find out who's been attacking students."
Dumbledore laughed. "I'll give Mr. Lupin another chance. Don't let me down."
"Can we be guards?"
"No. Now, get to class."

"Silvia! Silvia!" A voice cried. James and Sirius ran into the common room.
"What do you boys want?" Silvia asked, nose buried in a book assigned for History of Magic.
"Remember our bet from yesterday?"
She looked up suddenly. "Don't tell me-"
"We got it!" Sirius yelled. "Show her, James."
James held a small picture in his hand. "It's still negative," he said, shaking the picture vigorously. "Ah, got it." He held the picture up to Silvia's face, revealing a busty woman showering. She danced back and forth as she lathered shampoo in her hair.
"Foul," Silvia groaned.
"Foul? She's not foul. She's beautiful," Sirius swooned. "What's foul is what you have to do since you lost the bet."
Silvia rolled her eyes. "Fine. C'mon." She hurried out of the Common Room on a search for Severus.
They found him on a lounge room on the fourth floor.
"Oh, Sna-a-vely, there's something Silvia has been dying to tell you."
Severus moved his eyes toward Silvia as she stood in front of him. "What is it, Lupin?" James and Sirius giggled in the distance.
She pretended to blush. "Severus Snape, I am... in love with you?" She asked.
He raised an eyebrow. "I don't know, are you?"
She cleared her throat. "Yes! Oh, yes! I am head over heels in love with you!"
A couple nearby students snickered. Silvia's face turned hot and red.
"That's very nice, Lupin. Good for you." Severus turned back to writing in his potions book.
She stepped back awkwardly and walked back to where Sirius and James were doubled over in laughter.
"That wasn't funny."
"Of course it was," Sirius cried. He wiped his tears and caught his breath. He set the picture on a nearby table. "Alright, man. I'm keeping the picture."
"What? No way. I took the picture."
"But I was the one that found her."
"It's my invisibility cloak."
"It's my camera."
As the two bickered back and forth, Severus slowly stood up and looked at the picture on the table. "Idiots," he said to himself as he swiped it off the table and ripped it in half.
