There they stood all dressed up in dark blue, black, and yellow flight suits with straps on. They were uncomfortably right to their bodies and made them look like a weird acrobatic circus. But since none of them were immune to fire or explosions, so they all had to suit up for safety reasons. They looked at the large plane that was made by Hank. They had earlier seen the model of it but it seemed so much more breathtaking in person.  It that wasn't the only reason for the silence.

Today was the day. Today was the day they would confront Shaw. Today was their chance to save the world and let the world know that mutants are their allies and not their enemies. It was a lot of pressure to put onto a group that that had only had a few days of practice. But that didn't mean they weren't going to try just as hard. It was a bit overwhelming. And it didn't help that an important that a very important member of the team and the supposed pilot wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Where is Hank?" Raven asked.

"I'm here," a silhouette answered.

"Hank?" Rose whispered, confused by the size and shape of the silhouette that didn't match the call and skinny scientist they knew.

He came forward, and what they saw was not Hank. Or at least the Hank they remembered. His skin was blue and covered in blue fur. His moth was more of a muzzle with a more animalistic scowl. Rosemary covered her mouth and the rest looked and tried not to freak out, but they were shocked to see the least at what happened to him. "It didn't attack the cells. It enhanced them. It didn't work."

Yes, it did, Hank," Raven stated as he stood in front of them. She came closer, she was in her blue form as she preferred to stay in now. "Don't you see? This is who you were meant to be. This is you. No more hiding." She lovingly caressed his cheek. Despite everything he said to her, she still cared for him and wanted to help him accept himself the way she never managed to do for herself. He couldn't help but be grateful for her kindness.

"You never looked better, man," Erik foolishly commented.

But this was not the time for the usually sarcastic male to speak, because it resulted in hanks arm strangling him as he snarled in anger. Rose who had been standing to the tall man, grabbed Hank's arm without fear and yelled at him to let go of her friend.

"Hank!" She screamed pulling at his arm.

He growled at Erik, Raven moved backwards in horror as he attacked him. "Don't mock me!"

Charles spoke up, because Rosemary's attempts were failing. And Erik was running out of breath. As much as he probably deserved it, this needed to be stopped. "Hank put him down immediately, please."

Hank let go when Charles asked him to, dropping Erik to the ground. Rose patted his back softly to make sure he was okay. He was thankful but he quickly stood up a bit and looked at Hank. "I wasn't."

"Even I got to admit you look pretty badass," Alex confessed, "I think I got a new name for you. Beast."

"You're sure you can fly this thing?" Sean asked

"Of course I can. I designed it."

"The crew of the Aral Sea are all dead," Charles stated as he took a look into the ship.

"Shaw's been there," Erik stated.
