I laid in my bed for awhile texting Michael just seeing how things where going with him. I wanted to tell him about Jena leaving but I wanted to wait until I had the chance to talk to her about it more. After a little bit longer Michael told me that Ashton wanted to talk to her. Even though I wasn't sure if it was the best idea I wasn't going to deny him that option. So u decided to get up and let her decide what she wanted to do.

"Hey Jena?" I said as I knocked lightly on my bedroom door. I stood there for a few minutes and their was no answer.

"Jena?" I opened the door and in the room was Cassie fast asleep with a note beside her.

"Dear Callie,
I decided to leave now. I don't want to face Ashton again. I can't face Ashton again. I'll bring you the baby when it's born so keep your eye out for a doorstep baby. Please keep an eye on Cassie for me. She loves you. I know you two will get along perfectly. I'm sorry for doing this to you, but there's just no other way. Thank you for being my best friend/ sister all these years. I couldn't imagine having anyone else. Take care of my girl for me. Take care of Ashton to. I love you.
Jena"

Tears rolled down my cheek. I shouldn't have let her go. I should have kept talking to her. I should have reasoned with her. If a break is what she needed I could have watched Cassie for a little while.

"Aunt Cassie?" A little sleepy voice said.

"Yes baby?" I wiped the tears from my eyes and smiled down at her.

"Where's mommy?" Those two words made my chest hurt and my stomach drop.

"She's going away for little while baby, but in good news your gonna hang out with me for a little while and we are gonna have a lot of fun."  I didn't know what to do. I mean how do you tell a four year old her mother left her and she's not coming back.

"Really?!?" Her voice became full of excitement. She loved staying with Michael and I mostly because we gave her snacks and spoiled her completely, but still she loved being with us and we loved being with her.

"Yeah of course. Now I need you to go back to sleep so we can have tons of fun tomorrow. I was thinking we could go to the park and maybe even to the zoo."   I took the blankets and tucked her in. "There as snug as a big in a rug."
She giggled lightly before she yawned and fell asleep.

"Good night little bug." I kissed her he's gently before going back into the living room to await a now single father and my boyfriend.

"Is everything ok?" Michael said as he came in through the door.

"How sober is Ashton?" I asked looking past Michael and to Ashton.

"Well somewhere between he could still make good choices but definitely shouldn't be driving or left alone. Why?" Michael asked tilting his head to the side in confusion.

I sighed and handed him the note I had been reading over and over again and again. Trying to make it just a dream, get nothing seemed to be working.

"Oh my god." Michael looked from me and too Ashton.

"What what's wrong?" Ashton looked at both of us. "Is everything ok?" It was like he was instantly sober.

"Ash, Jena... she left."
