* 1 Week Later *

"We buried him today." I spoke as I sat down beside Callie's bed. " I don't know which was harder, burying him or come back here. I know he's gone and that he's not suffering anymore, but you. I don't know anything. Everything's still the same. Please Angel just wake up I need you. I need you now more than ever."

I told myself I wasn't going to cry. I had made it through most of the day without crying. I had so much time to adjust to the baby dying. I had just been putting off burying him in hopes she could wake up so I didn't have to go through it alone.

"Ashton bought Cassie a puppy yesterday. He was hoping it would cheer her up. She misses you just as much as the rest of us. Oh and your sister still hasn't got married she refuses to do so until you wake up. She says she needs her big sister there so you better wake up soon. If not for me than for her." I rubbed my thumb on her cheek as I spoke to her.

"So anyway I think you'd like the head stone I got for the baby. It's a teddy bear. It just needs a name on it, but I still haven't named him because I want you to help me decide. So when you wake up we will decide that and then someone will go out and put the name on it. Don't think I blame you for that either Angel. It's not your fault. Your mom decided we should take Thomas to court. At first I was against it but then I learned more about the wreck and how he's got daddy's money to keep him out of getting a ticket. So I finally agreed."

I rested my head on Callie's bed closing my eyes as I held her hand. As I slowly started to drift off I heard one of the machines start to go off. I immediately sat up and was looking between them trying to figure out which one it was but before I had the chance to figure out what it was I felt my hand being squeezed. When I looked down Callie's eyes where open and full of fear.

"It's ok baby your ok." I kissed her cheek and rubbed her head as nurses and doctors came running in.

"Hi sweetie. Blink for me if you know who this is." The nurse said as pointed over at me.

I took in a deep breath terrified for the answer. She looked back over at me and blinked. I smiled as a tear ran down my cheek and she squeezed my hand tighter.

"I'm gonna take out this thing breathing tube. You may feel a little discomfort and I apologize for that ahead of time." The nurse said putting an oxygen hose on Callie's nose before she started pulling out the hose that had been helping her breathe all this time.

She squeezed my hand tighter as they room it the rest of the way out.

"Take it easy on trying to talk. Your vocal chords haven't been used in a week. So try to take it slow." The nurse said as she looked at a computer she brought in with her.

"Do you know your name?" She asked.

Callie nodded and took a deep breath.

"Calliope." Her voice cracked a couple times and she stopped taking another breath and trying again. "Calliope Anne Johnson."

"Ok good. Now do you know his name?" She asked pointing to me.

"Michael Gordon Clifford." She replied smiling up at me.
