I wanted to write and explain the motivation behind this story. I am an avid reader and read all types of book but my genre of choice is young adult. Like many, I browse the internet and read reviews to find my next novel but after reading over 150 books in 2013, I was beginning to lose interest in my options. Every book was either about someone supernatural or incredibly depressing. Don’t get me wrong, I love these topics but it wasn’t what I was looking for. I wanted to read about a strong, yet vulnerable protagonist who didn’t have a super power or wasn’t raped or violently abused. I was looking for someone to relate to, who shared similar experiences with me. I wanted real life but unfortunately, I did not find many books like that, thus, County Falls was born.
