I stand in an empty hospital hallway, the walls painted white. Rectangular lights hang perfectly from the ceiling. The stench of rubbing alcohol and latex fills my senses. Empty gurneys align the walls of the hall. White tile flooring lay perfectly on the ground. Machines beeping and heart beats echo down the hall. I begin walking down the hall, absent of the lack of nurses scattering. I reach a room, nurses chatter under their breaths. I peek my head into the doorway, unable to see the person lying on the bed. I sense something behind me, I do not take my eyes off the person.

"You wanna know why I've been so bitter to you these past five years?" Jake asks, the sound of his feet clattering against the ground indicates he moves closer to me.

"You're trying to say that you have a reason for being bitter? Or is it that you just like to see me get hurt?" I ask bluntly.

He's been bitter to me all these years, and for what? Just to see me fail, to see me try to run with the pack of wolves that sheilded that side of them for me. To protect me, only because that's what they do. Or at least they did, after I was turned, it all went down hill. People around me started dying, we went into a war with my own family for God's sake.

"Your parents got married and had your sisters, fine, great, whatever." He begins, he pauses to take a deep breath. "Your Dad cheated on your mom- with mine." He adds. I raise a brow, he couldn't have cheated on her. "Your dad later got with my mom, and had me. Years later, your mom had you." He informs me.

"You're trying to tell me, that we are half siblings? Correct me if I'm wrong, but killing me, that's not how you treat family. Dragging my entire pack down, that's not how you treat family." I hiss, I glance at the heart monitor, which slowly declines.

"Now correct me if I'm wrong, but starting a war against your own family, is not how you treat family." He snaps.

I do not move from the doorway, I do not turn around, I do not take my eyes off the person.

Hyper, harsh, and forced breathing snaps my attention away from the person. I turn around, pivoting on the balls of my heels, my back facing the room. Jake is no longer there, instead, Ian and Cameron.

"Guys, what's going on?" I ask, their eyes fixed on the window, showing the person lying in the bed.

"Guys?" I call a little louder. I reach towards them, placing my hand on Ian's forearm, hoping to get his attention. His eyes glued to the person, tears fill his eyes.

"Why wasn't it us? Why didn't we do something?" Cameron asks panicked.

"Jack was right, he knew this was going to happen. We shouldn't have kept this to ourselves." Ian replies, tears form in his eyes, all of this bringing him so much pain.

My attention falls to the person lying on the bed. Nurses scatter to fix the beeping monitors and obnoxious pang noise coming from the heart monitor.

A male doctor, mid forties, grabs two paddles from a nurse. All of the nurses and doctors back up from the one doctor with the paddles.

"Clear!" He announces, before pressing down on the persons chest. Nothing changes. He rubs the two paddles together again, before announcing it again. "Clear!"

"Heal, damn it!" Ian anxiously mumbles under his breath.

My body flashes, just like it did in the past. I look at my fingers and as they fade away.

"Clear!" The doctor announces again, this time my entire body flashes.

An electrical surge rushes through my body. I take a deep breath, a white light appears at the end of the hallway. My entire body disappears.
