The cannon pours the perfect shade of blue! A boy, I'm so excited!!!! Jack and I wrap our arms around each other in excitement. Mel screams and jumps around, throwing herself at Jack in excitement. Ian struggles to use his cannon, twisting his cannon until it finally goes off... and then blue powder appears all over his shirt.
"Girls, you're going to have a little brother!" I exclaim. Odette smiles like crazy, Alani on the other hand... whining and crying because she wanted a girl.
"Yay! I want to hold him and love him and dress him and play with him!" Odette exclaims. Alani stomps her feet and whines about not wanting a brother. Jack scoops her up in his arms and tosses her around in the air to distract her. She giggles and squeals while in the air. He smiles and focuses all of his attention on her.
"Higher, throw me higher!" She exclaims. A smile spreads on my face. He's so good with them, I never imagined him being so great with kids.
"My turn! My turn!" Odette squeals. Jack puts Alani down and snags Odette up. Shortly after Odette began turning pale from being thrown around, her and Alani started chasing Jack around the yard. Ian and Cam join in.
"They're like children." Mel whispers.
"That's okay, they are happy, we are happy." I reply. Mel smiles and puts her hand on my shoulder. I look down at my bump and smile even wider than before.
Everything is perfect, all of us are happy, I married the man of my dreams, Mel and Leanne are happy, we are extending our family. Soon, we are going to have two more boys and three more girls in the family.
"Hey Lee, are you excited that you're going to have a boy?" Brent asks.
"Of course, I'll be extremely happy if he turns out to be like Jack." I reply. Brent smiles and watches Jack and the girls run around.
"He's a good guy, you picked a good one." He praises and kisses my cheek. I look back at the girls with their wide smiles and joy flowing off of them.
"Thanks, I certainly did." I mumble.
I didn't have to be with Jack. I could've broken his and Garrison's promise and dated someone else. Honestly, I chose Jack because I remembered how I felt when I was with him years ago. He's just as smart, funny, caring, and passionate as he was years ago. I'm so happy I chose to be with him.
A few hours have passed, now Jack, the girls, and I are the only ones left in the house. Jack and I are laying on the couch, the girls on the floor. The girls are watching Frozen II... again. Cam and Mel went to the house to pack the hospital bag since Mel is having contractions.
"Wouldn't that be funny if you and Mel went into labor at the same time?" Jack asks, chuckling at the likelihood that it could happen.
"No, that would be awful." I reply. Jack rolls his eyes and pecks me on the lips. He gently rubs my shoulder.
"Lighten up, babe, negativity isn't good for the baby." He whispers. I roll my eyes and playfully stick my tongue out at him. His brows furrow, a smile spreads across his face in confusion. I giggle at his confusion. I put my hand on my belly and tap my fingers along to the beat of Into the Unknown by Idina Menzel. The baby slowly moves my stomach to poke my fingers. A smile spreads across my face, I nudge Jack's arm.
"Babe, he's kicking." I whisper, looking down at my moving stomach. I pull my shirt up, revealing my huge stomach. Jack looks at it and watches as the baby moves with my fingers. Slowly, it stretches out in one place, then moves along to the next place.
"Girls, come here and watch this!" Jack exclaims. The girls scramble to get up, confused as to what they are about to watch. I grab Alani and set her down by my side. Jack puts Odette on his lap.
