Aspen walks out of the room, her feet shuffling across the floor as she walks. Garrison walks back into the room, swiftly and quietly. My eyes grow heavy.

"Babe, let me heal it." He whispers, noticing the pain in my hip and ribs.

I must've fallen pretty hard for my ribs to break and my hip to fracture. I shake my head, my eyes slowly wander to the heavy white blankets.

"Jake can't hurt you anymore, he's gone, Leah." I look up, and look into his eyes.

His brown eyes staring back into mine. He knows that this is never going to be okay. He knows that I'm never going to have a normal life.

"We can finally have a normal life." Garrison steadily assures me.

I know that we can't, even if I am human. I'm sure somehow, some way, something is going to happen. Something is going to prevent this from happening.

"Your family is alright, we've arranged an agreement with your father."

"You did what?" Ian asks in complete and utter shock, stepping into the room. He took the words right out of my mouth. Garrison is insane, if he does this, we might end up in another war.

His footsteps echo louder and louder in my head. His heartbeat pounds in my head.

A sudden silence falls over my head, sucking my out of reality. Possibly a vision? But that can't be if I am a human.

Trees and grass surround me, each haunting branch bent downward. Fog dancing between the branches and falling to the dewy grass.

"Garrison!" Jack calls out, warning him of an eminent danger approaching.

I turn my head, revealing Garrison on the ground. His back against the grass, hands up in defense, one knee bent, and head off the ground. My mother standing over him, a shotgun pointing straight to his chest.

"You won't be able to heal from this," Mom states. "this stuff here, is a sure fire way to kill one of you." She explains, holding a single bullet between her fingers.

"That's alright, because your daughter is lying in a hospital bed right now," he explains. "She won't know that you were the one to kill me," he takes a quick breath, and whispers between gritted teeth. "but when she finds out, and she will find out," he pauses. "She will put a bullet so far in your brain that not even God will recognize you."

"Good thing I'm an atheist, isn't it Garrison?" She asks, pulling the trigger. The loud bang of the gun startles me.

His arms fall to his sides, head hits the dirt, and knee falls on top of the other one.

Jack and I run towards him. My legs weaken when I get to him, I fall to his side.

"Garrison, look at me!" Jack exclaims. "Leah needs you to be there for her when she wakes up," he explains. "I don't want to marry her, I want to watch you marry her. That's what I wanted all along, please, Garrison." He begs. My heart pounds out of my chest, streams of tears form kaleidoscopes in my eyes.

"Leah?" Ian's voice begins to echo in my head.

"Leah, you're alright." Garrison whispers. "Calm down, I'm right here."

I open my eyes, revealing the hospital room. Tears flow from my eyes. He strokes my head with the palm of his hand, and gently takes a hold of my hand.

It felt so real, whatever that was, it felt so real.
