A few weeks have passed. Mel finally told the pack that she is having triplets. She also told them the genders; one boy and two girls. She has also had a lot of contractions lately, so I'm thinking she's going to have the babies soon.
Ian has decided to ask Aspen out on a date, given they are only a year apart and like a lot of the same things. Their first date is on Friday and it's all Ian talks about. All I hear about is how her eyes are gorgeous, her smile is as bright as the sun, and her laugh is the best thing he's ever heard in his entire life.
Jack has gone into full blown super dad mode. This means that the nursery has been completed, the girls' room has been redecorated, and the mastery bedroom is also partially a nursery for when the baby comes. He has also gone into full blown worry mode. He's constantly worried when I get winded from walking around. He's constantly worried when I get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
The baby has finally begun growing, so of course now I'm huge. I can no longer see my feet and I'm craving pickles constantly! Nesting mode has also kicked in so everything has to be perfect and safe for the baby.
While all of that has gone on, I've been sentenced to bed rest for a few days because of my high blood pressure. This also allows me to have time to spend with my girls. They look so sweet when they are sleeping. Their chubby cheeks rest on their faces, their long eyelashes flutter in their sleep, and luckily they don't kick in their sleep!
This nap has been the shittiest nap I've taken in my whole life. Since the baby has grown, it's moving a lot and I can't get comfortable. I, unlike the girls, haven't slept for a few days. Just for the slight possibility that I do fall asleep, I keep my eyes closed.
"Mommy, is our sister here yet?" Alani groans in her sleep.
"Not yet, you'll know when the baby comes." I reply. She groans once more.
"Is it a girl? I want to have a sister!" Odette groans in her sleep.
"I don't know if it's a girl, Uncle Cam and Uncle Brent know." I reply. They both shift in bed, I open my eyes to see their bright faces staring at me.
"We need to know! Where's Uncle Cam?" Alani asks.
"Girls, Uncle Cam is at work, you can't bother him by asking him what the baby is." I scold. They both drop their smiles.
"Isn't it exciting not knowing?!" I ask. They both frown. Okay, maybe not.
"When are we gonna know??" Odette whines.
"They are supposed to tell us tomorrow, you girls can wait another day to find out." I reply.
Kinda boring so imma jump to the next day...
"In these here smoke cannon things holds the biggest secret of the past four months..." Cam explains, waving his cannon around. We all stand on the porch, each one of us holding our own white cannon. In each cannon is the color gender of the baby. Jack and I stand proud, anxiously waiting to find out the gender. The girls have been given smaller cannons and Jack is going to help them so they don't actually hit themselves with the cannons... or worse, each other.
"Everybody ready? One, two..." Brent counts down, he prepares to twist his cannon. "three!" He exclaims.
At three, we all twist our cannons. At first, white smoke comes out, then slowly creeps out the precious shade of...
