Jack quickly backs up and looks deeply into my eyes. I exhale and scan the floor for any rational reasoning why I thought that was a good idea.
"I'm... I'm sorry, I was... uh, just caught up in the moment." I stutter. He shakes his head.
"It's all good... anyway, I think you are finally healing." He replies, changing the statement. I snap my gaze away from Jack and look at Garrison behind him.
"Garrison..." I mumble under my breath. Jack's brows furrow, he looks behind him, noticing Garrison at the door. Ian walks in, brushing Garrison's sleeve as he walks.
"Leah, please tell me you're okay." Garrison whimpers. Tears form in his eyes. "I didn't mean it." Jack rolls his eyes and quietly growls.
"She's fine. Honestly, it's not her you should be worrying about," Jack retorts, he puffs out his chest. "you should be worried if I am going to kill you, I haven't decided yet." He adds. Garrison looks him up and down in disgust.
"Why are you protecting her so much? It's like you love her or something. It's pathetic, Jack." Garrison replies. He looks down at me, before stepping into the room. "You know she's in love with me."
"Face it, Garrison... I loved her when you didn't." Jack snaps, his hands begin to shake in rage. His eyes widen and his brows furrow.
"Don't do this in front of Leah. If you two are going to have your wimpy ass argument, do it somewhere else." Ian hisses. He looks at me, confidence strikes across his deep brown eyes.
"She doesn't need you protecting her either." Garrison snaps.
A deep growl escapes my lips, it sends vibration to my throat and chest. God I've missed being able to do that! Garrison's jaw slowly drops.
"Garrison, stop it. Just go! I can't even stand to look at you right now," Ian softly rubs my shoulder. I tightly hold my crossed arms across my chest. All I picture is the sadistic look in Garrison's face, the sudden urge to kill, the lack of remorse in his eyes. His grip is tight, his knuckles become white. "what you just did, crossed every line that was ever drawn... You're worse than Jake." I snap. As soon as I say Jake's name, his stance changes. He stumbles back a bit, his gaze falls to the floor.
"You changed her?!" He exclaims. His gaze darts right at Jack.
"Seriously, that's what you're getting from this conversation?!" Brent exclaims.
"I had to do something, her last God damn breath was in Ian's arms because you were too busy trying to force Leah into something she didn't want to do and then you went off on all of us." Jack replies. Garrison takes a step forward, his claws appear from his hands.
"Let me ask you, at what point were you going to successfully kick my ass?" Garrison snaps.
"Hit me, I dare you." Jack growls. Technically, Jack did kick his ass, he broke his wrist and tackled him. "C'mon G, this is what you want. Just punch me, right here." He taunts, poking at his cheekbone. Jack begins to get up, ready to throw a punch. I place my hand on his chest and shake my head.
"Just drop it." I tell Jack. He looks over at me, and licks his lips. He nods and sits back down.
"You need to go." Brent pipes, he snarls at Garrison's approach. "Just talk a walk and think for a little while, okay?"
"Fine," Garrison hangs his head and nods. "Leah," he calls. "I love you." What am I supposed to say? He just tried to kill Jack and he clawed me in the process. Ian shuts the door before I could reply. Tears stream down my face, I can't wrap my head around what just happened.
