It was a beautiful day outside. The cool summer breeze air against his skin felt nice. Occasionally he would pass by the shops which are just starting to open up. He would take the opportunity to say a polite 'Good Morning' or give out a wave and a smile. His neighborhood seemed so peaceful in the morning. It had been more than a month since the gala and hel-- uhhmm... summer break was almost over. Trees were already starting to wither this early on and school is just around the corner.
The past month was hell. He wasn't able to leave the house and his piano lessons got a lot more harder. They have been pushing him to the limit. Kiyoteru-sensei made him practice Chopin's "Fantaise Improptu", he had no real use of it for now, but he insisted that it just in case.
Len could still remember what happened that day at the gala. On one hand, he was disappointed that he didn't find his sister. And on the other, he was glad to see his mystery singer once more. Although, what was she doing there?
Flashback..
He walked a for long time along the winding halls of the conservatory. He gritted his teeth as he was just running in circles, having long left the performance hall. He was sure he was lost. Then he heard someone singing.
He could not see her face, but he was sure she was female, maybe his age, and she had short blond hair. From where he was standing, he could not hear her properly.
It would be embarassing if she learned about his eavesdropping. He found a wall, just behind her where he could hear her singing, but unfortunately, he could not see her face without compromising his position.
When he was in place, he earned one of the most pleasant surprised in his life.
The person singing was the same person he heard at the park. She was singing a different song, but he was sure it was her.
'Hanamizuki' Len knew this song. He heard it on the radio before. Said that it was a movie track or something. It had pretty enchanting lyrics too. And the way she was singing it gave him goosebumps all over.
He was so emmersed in the song that he couldn't control himself and kicked the one corner of wooden walls of the hall.
Unfortunately, the mysterious singer heard it and stopped, startled, then ran away after a few moments.
Len on the other hand wanted to pull his hair out of his scalp for his idiocy. The person who occupied his thoughts was there. And he let her go away.
Great. Now he had to deal with an angry sensei and manager who was right in front of him. Already scolding him.
Well, it was worth it. And Len has no regrets. Even if he had to work twice as hard for the next months.
Flashback end..
Anyway, that was over and today is a new day. He was finally out of that hell hole.
The blonde pianist was currently walking to the Crypton Recordings. Today was a special day for him. You can see that there was a certain skip in his walk and a large grin on his face. Minutes later he came to the large entrance of the gigantic building.
'This is it!'
If his smile could get wider than it already has then his face would have split in two by then. He was so excited that he can't contain it. He stepped inside and strode like he owned the place, a wide grin plastered on his face as if it was permanently cemented.
'It's a nice day today.'
"KAGAMINE LEEEEEEN!"
He sweat dropped when he saw a running teal head hurriedly approaching. He almost wanted to punch the girl when she trapped him in a fierce bear hug, crying fake anime tears. She was quite childish for a fifteen year old. Maybe that's why they got close in the first place.
