The sun still has not risen and morning is cold as ever. Len's alarm clock rang throughout his room, but he did not make any effort to turn it off. He just sat on his window still watching the snow fall down from the sky.

December 25, Christmas day.

Before,  Christmas was his favorite time of year. It was his precious sister's favorite holiday. She liked-- no, she loved the snow and anything that is in relation with Christmas. Therefore he liked it because his sister liked it. And now that she's gone, he hates it. He hated it, since it was the day he lost his mother and precious little sister.

Flashback....

"Mama look I made a snow angel!" A five year old Len squealed in delight.

"WooooowOnii-chan sugoi!" His baby sister squealed clapping her hands.

"Come on hime chan! Let's make snow angels." He pulled his dear sister to a clearer place.

"Don't stay too long okay?" Their mother instructed them before going inside.

"Hai kaa-san!" They chorused before playing in the snow.

“Kids!  Come in I made hot chocolate!"

"Yaaaay!" The kids cheered,  running towards the house.

Inside,  their mother prepared each of them a mug of their own hot choco,  smiling as she did. She gave a sigh once she saw her kids enter, forgetting that they were still wearing their coats. She approached them with her arms crossed.

"Now aren't you forgetting something?" Their mother asked in a sweet tone that did not compliment her terrifying aura. The kids froze on the spot. "Go hang your coats where it's supposed to be." She commanded the siblings who instantly nodded and sped off to the genkan* of their house.

After a they each have their own cups of hot chocolate, their mother led them to the music room.

She sat in front of the piano followed by the siblings who sat on the floor near the piano.

The mother smiled and started to play. It was somewhat of a tradition between the three. Every Christmas eve they would play in the snow in the morning, have a cup of hot chocolate while singing Christmas carols before they would sleep. Their mother would wake them up just before midnight to celebrate Christmas together with their father who should have got home by then.

"Have yourself a merry little Christmas..." Their mother sang.

The two children smiled and sang together with their mother.

The siblings woke to the soft voice of their mother.

"Kids... Kids wake up. Wake up." Their mother shook them awake.

"H-huh? Is it time already mama?" Len stretched and looked at the clock. His mother taught him how to read clocks not too long before. He daw that it was still 9:00.
