"No!! Claude!!" Cherry shrieked from shock and horror.

She rushed up to the bed. I decided not to stick around. After all. I had just killed her brother! I wasn't stupid enough to go through all of this again. I staggered to my feet and took off out of the room as Cherry dropped at the side of the bed wailing at the sight of her brother's ashes scattered all over the covers. Her wails echoed down the staircase as I raced down through the dimly lit area. It didn't stop me. I kept moving forward. I had to. I knew if I stayed I would certainly end up dead. There was no garuntee that I would be able to escape from this prison, alive and in one piece, but at least I was willing to try. That was all could do. Try to save myself from the disastrous fate that awaited me if I stayed. I don't know how I reached the bottom of the stairs so quickly, but I did. I didn't even know where I was going. I just kept running. This place was still so dark, but far louder than before. I wasn't listening carefully enough to figure out if those noises in the distance were people shouting. Or should I rather say monsters shouting. My barefeet running across the cold dark tiles. My eyes darted from side to side, but all I could see was closed doors and shadows everywhere. Suddenly I felt this rush of wind from behind me and I was lifted from the floor and thrown across the large passage. I crashed into a set of doors, forcing them open from my impact and landed inside some sort of lounge area, sliding across the floor after hitting it while having the wind knocked clear out of me. I barely had time to grab hold of a nearby sofa in order to pull myself up off of the floor, when I felt long nails pierce my shoulders as I was yanked up from behind to my feet. I tried to fight back against my attacker, swinging my arms in a blind assault. I managed to free myself long enough to spin around so I could see who this monster was.

It was Cherry!

She had managed to catch up to me which was no surprise considering the fact that she was a vampire and I was just a human. I tried to escape her, but she was extremely fast. She grabbed hold of me by my neck with both hands. I was lifted from the floor as she started to choke me. My feet dangling like a lifeless puppet in the air as its master puppeteer held it up for all to see, even though we were completely alone. Her eyes, close to an amber color now, glowed directly at me from pure anger and hatred for what I had done to her brother. I clawed at her hands to try and free myself from her grip as I slowly felt myself slipping away to the unknown from the lack of air.

"You little bitch! You are going to pay for taking my brother's life you piece of shit!" Cherry hissed angrily. She released me and I went dropping to the floor like a sack of potatoes, gagging and choking for air, my throat throbbing in the process. "I'm going to torture you till you beg me to kill you!" Cherry reached forward and grabbed hold of me by the back of my head, digging her nails through my hair and into my sculp. She pulled me away from the sofa I was desperately trying to cling onto for dear life. Almost as if the sofa was going to save me from what Cherry was about to do to me.

"Let go of her!"

A familiar voice bellowed into the room. My heart sprung to life and suddenly I was filled with hope again. Cherry almost immediately released me which allowed me to scramble away as fast as what I could across the floor and back towards the sofa, I considered to be my safe haven. Once I was there, I remained on the floor on my knees beside the sofa, peering over the arm only when I needed to. My first glance gave me the answers I needed. A large flecked black wolf stood there in the doorway of the room we were in. He stared down Cherry and growled viciously. His eyes locked on her with pure hatred radiating from them. Cherry stared back at this wolf who I knew only to be Dimitri! I knew he would come for me! Cherry no longer appeared as confident of herself any longer. As the screams and the other loud noises started to penetrate not only my ears but my mind as well, I finally realized that Dimitri was not alone. He had brought others with and the castle we were currently in was under attack! Clearly Cherry had realized this too. It was the reason why she was no longer confident of herself.
