Chapter 7
I was where I wanted to be, thanks to what I think his name is Clay. I would defiantly not thank the young man in the backseat with me. I don't know who he thought he was, but I would be more than happy not to see him again.
Soon enough I found someone, or I just had the guts to ask someone for directions. Which I'm not sure if this women with a red blouse and a white skirt could speak english. I had tapped her shoulder, and her brown eyes turned to look at me.
"Mi potete aiutare?" I asked her, 'can you help me'.
She smiled at me. "Come posse aiutarti?" She had asked me 'what can I help you with'.
"Sto cercando di trovare un hotel qui? I had asked her, 'I'm trying to find a hotel around here'.
She then pointed down the street as she spoke. "Andate dritto, prendete un dritto, pio uno sinistra e dovresti essere li." She had said to 'go straight, take a right, then a left and it should be there.'
"Grazie." I shook the lady hand and she shook her head smiling before I went to go find the hotel that she told me about.
Soon I was standing in front of a hotel called Splendid Venice. On the outside it looked colorful and unique but at the same time fancy. When I walked in there was the type of spinning glass doors, I'm not sure what they were called.
There was a man in front of the desk, when he saw me he gave a welcoming smile. "Hello how can I help you ms." I was quite glad that he spoke english.
"Yes I would like to get a room." I smiled dragging the luggage behind me. I walked towards the desk that the brown haired young man was. He had a black suit on and had the logo of the hotel on it.
He started to walk away towards a door behind the office."Right this way Ms..." He turned back to look at me hopping for an answer.
"Cadwell, Ms.Cadwell." I smiled walking towards him. He shook his head knowing what to call me now.
"Is it alright if you stay in room 206. It has a luxurious furniture very colorful and bright. Everything in the room should work correctly." He turned back at me, smiling with a gentle welcoming look in his eyes.
"That would be great. Thank you so, so much." I smiled from ear to ear.
"It's also because Mr. Williams spoke to the best hotels around here. So that any hotel was open for you Ms. Cadwell." Well Jerry was prepared for everything, he really is a kind boss. Through I won't take his kindness as weakness.
When I walked into the room there was a stripped white and cream color blanket on a queen size bed, with four white pillows lapping over each other against the bed frame. The walls were the same cream color but there was a tad bit of orange in the color There was a nice looking four level base dresser. With a oval shape golden edge mirror, next to that was a white colored door leading towards the bathroom. The area had the same color in the bedroom, the mirror was a large rectangle with no frame. The counter was white marble, with a deep white sink. That had squeals of gold ingrate in the white sink.
The room was large enough to fit a large bathtub and shower. They were both white colored with glass sliding doors. I looked back at the man that had lead me to this room. "I'll take the room thank you." I smiled at him with grace.
He returned the smile. "I'm glad you like it, I will contact Mr.Williams that your staying here." He turned leaving the room key on the bed, then walked out the entrance of the room closing the door.
But after a few minutes he had brought in the six bags that had all this extra items that Jerry had got me. I thanked the man until he was gone for the day, maybe he might come back. The first two bags that I originally had was a bag full of my closes from my home in pompano beach, but then I had a bag full of my camera items, another full of accessories and shoes, one full of pants, skirts, and shorts, and the last one stuffed with shirts, tops, and dresses.
