Chapter 35
It was about to be eight sharp and the girls were in the bathroom making sure they look perfect, while I didn't follow them in the bathroom because I would just be standing there. Cause I don't really care if everything on my face has to be perfect.
A second before eight they walked out of the bathroom still looking the same, they both looked at me with sincere faces. Rhea and Ava ordered drinks while I just picked something random from the menu that the bar tinder handed me, because I'm sure that he can tell I don't go out much.
Rhea was taking gulps of her drink at a time, she really is leading up to her last name. While Ava took sips every second, and for me I was just holding it in my hand . I'm not big on drinking. After a few conversations with them I felt a heavy stare on me, I turned towards a corner of the bar. My eyes landed on a small table but no one was there. I set my cup on the counter and walked around the crowd feeling that someone I knew was here.
When I had gone around the crowd I had found a young man sitting at the counter, through I was looking at the back of his head I still knew preciously who it is. I tapped at his shoulder, he turned half way then all the way around and he eyed me.
"What are you doing here?" I raised my eyebrow slightly.
"...What... I can't enjoy a drink by myself?" He smirked up at me.
"How did you know I was here Alfred?" I leaned against the counter.
"What makes you think I came here because you were here?"
"Because..." I sighed not having anything to say back too him.
"Exactly." He stood up, our faces were a little too close. "Maybe I am here to see how much of a party animal you are." He smirked at me.
He is really pulling his game out on me. Whatever he's tricks are I'm not going to lose this little game of his. "What do you feel like I won't live up to your expectations of parting?" I pulled his shirt closer to me, and through back the smirk he gave me.
"What makes you think you won't live up to my expectations?" He looked down at me through he was wearing dark sunglasses. Which I found strange of him.
"Well you did live most of your life as a playboy and as that being you must of partied a lot." I for some reason played with his shirt.
"Ha, these past few months I have been deceiving that label because of a special someone." I looked up at him shocked, and felt a strange feeling in my stomach.
I playfully smiled up at him, and he smiled back. "Is that a good thing that this special someone is doing?"
His smile grew and it started to turn into a cute little crooked smile. "It's better then good."
"I think you two had a little too much to drink, because you two are acting like looneys" Alfred and I both turned and saw Rhea standing there with a drink in her hand.
"I couldn't agree with you more." Ava was not far behind Rhea, they both turned to look at each other and smiled.
Alfred laughed and distanced himself from me, I looked at him up and down confused why he would back away. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "What makes you two think I was drinking?"
Ava and Rhea smirked. "Well playboy doesn't even drink anymore, what a big influence Tatum his too him." They both laughed.
I folded my arms and pressed it against my stomach for some reason feeling ashamed. Like a guilt feeling rushing over me. "Sorry guys but I think I need to get some fresh air."
"I'll come with you." Alfred walked towards me.
"No there's no need, you can stay here and talk to Ava and Rhea." I waved my hand at him in deny.
I walked out of the doors, gasping for air as if I was drowning in water. I looked up at the stars. I stood there with my head tilted upwards with my eyes closed. Feeling refreshed from the cool wind that blew past me.
I pulled out my phone calling my boss. After two rings he picked up,..
"Hello?" I didn't answer until after a few seconds I pulled together what to say to him.
"Please tell me when my next trip is, I feel like I failed you." I sighed feeling the guilt twist and turn in my stomach making me want to puke.
He sighed I was sure he was rubbing his forehead. "Tatum you never failed me, it's just I think you should be on a little break."
I gritted my teeth together. "No, I wish to get back to work right away, I miss working." I begged.
He roughly sighed. "Fine, tomorrow your leaving out of London and to Tokyo city. I what you to explore the place and take pictures of popular places and places you think people should see."
My guilt had shifted to excitement. "Thank you so much, I'll send the absolute best."
He chuckled, "I'm counting on it" I could feel that he was smiling.
He and I hung up and I released a relieving sigh. "What was that all about?" I jumped and turned around.
"Oh, I was just talking to our boss." I gave a little smile at Rhea.
She walked towards me. "What did he say?" She put her hand on my shoulder.
"He said that I can get back to work tomorrow, through the thing is that were leaving out tomorrow to Tokyo city."
Her eyes widened, and she smudged her hand against her forehead. "Well tomorrow is going to feel like hell." I tilted my head wondering why, she looked up at and chuckled. "Well because I took a little to much to drink so that is going to hit me tomorrow."
"Oh, well we should get back to the apartment then and rest up." She shook her head.
"Yea, I'll go tell Ava about our change in plans." I nod my head at her, and she walked back into the bar.
She soon came back out calling for a cab and told me that Ava was chill with the turn in the plan. When we got back she helped me remove my make up then removed her own. We took showers and settled down for the night early since we will be on a plane for about twelve hours. So we will be getting up really early. It was only about ten so we had a few hours of sleep.
