Chapter 18
Did she just say that Ava's going on a date tonight. How come Clay never told me this, since when did he become so secretive? Tatum looked at me weirdly because of my wide eyes. Through I quickly got rid of the look on my face.
"So why did she ask you for advise?" I questioned as she brushed her teeth.
"Because girls can have girl talk about anything , were all an army so we got each other's back." She washed her mouth out with water then spitting it out. Afterwards rinsed off her toothbrush than putting it back from where she got it. She than walked out towards the living room again, plopping herself down on the couch getting comfy.
I tossed her a fluffy, soft, cotton blanket. "Thanks." I shook my head as in no problem, I plopped down on the couch. When I turned to look at her she was all cuddled up on a ball. She looked adorable, you can only see her face and hair laying on a plushed grey pillow.
"So than have you ever been on a date?" I asked sitting on the couch next to her, trying not to sit too close.
She sat there for a moment, she was rather thinking or didn't want to say. "No I haven't been on a date is that a problem?" She turned to look at me, and I couldn't help but grin at her. "What?" She looked at me, as if I just solved a murder case that hasn't been solved in years.
"I'm taking you on a date tonight." I smiled with joy, while she showed the opposite. She showed a face of pure shock.
"Um... that's not happening." She said nervously, yet as if she is forcing herself to say no.
I continued to hold a grin on my face. "Why?, what if another one of your friends asks you about advise for a date, you could be giving them invalid information." I shrugged my shoulders together and making my lips go thin. She turned to look at the floor thinking about what I had said, she hadn't responded for the next few seconds. "So I'm taking that as a yes, ... end of discussion." I sat back against the couch chuckling to myself.
We sat back watching whatever was on TV, through I was sure that Tatum was studying me as we watched TV. "Pouvez-vous parler français?" I turned to look at her, I am a bit rusty in speaking french through I understood that she asked me if I could speak french. I only know french because it is the language of love, and well I'm a playboy. So that makes since for me to learn that language.
"Anata wa nihongo o hanasu koto ga dekimasu?" She looked at me confused.
I chuckled out load she didn't break her face. "I asked you if you could speak Japaneses." She than had a surprise on her face. "What?" I pulled the grin off my face, and looked worried yet serious.
"I didn't know you could speak Japaneses." She was leaning a bit closer towards me, I wanted to say that she was interested... in me and not me knowing how to speak Japaneses. I looked into her eyes, they were bright and curious to know how I know a language right of the bat.
I sighed. "When I was younger my parents took me around the world to explore everything that's out there. Since I stayed at Japan for a while, as in a very long time. I learned Japaneses by heart." I looked up at her trying not to show how much pain I'm in for talking about my past. Through I sucked it up and put a grin on my face. "Anyway I'm taking you out at six thirty, so be ready."
I hopped up off the couch ready to leave before more thoughts come crashing into my head, then causing the demons inside me to escape. I walked over towards the door, but something got in my way. Tatum was standing right in front of me confused and worried about me. Some how I think she had seen the pain inside of me.
"Move Tatum." I looked her in the eyes than looking at the door. She didn't say a word only focusing me in the eyes. She stared deep into me her bright green hazel eyes, soon turned dark and dull as if she just lost her soul. At that moment she felt the pain that I was trying to hide from inside of me. She continued to look into my eyes as if she was watching a black and white short film of my past, then she took a step closer towards me.
