Chapter 36

I saw Rhea walk up too Ava telling her something than Ava shook her head almost in disappointment. Then Rhea left and I didn't see Tatum anywhere. I walked up to Ava.

"What was that all about?" I raised one of my eyebrows at her.

She waved her hand as if it was nothing. "Tatum is back on her job she's leaving tomorrow."

I raised both of my eyebrows at her in shock. "Where are they heading out too?"

She shrugged her shoulders, I told her we should head home. When we got back to the apartment Ava was walking to the shower then to her bed after she cleaned up.

I looked over at the couch Clay was sitting there on his laptop. "I know that you went out with the girls because you wanted to see her."

I rubbed the back of my neck. "What...what are you talking about?" I flopped down on the couch next too him.

He chuckled. "Ever since you meant Tatum, lets just call them your playboy senses have slacked off."

"Your joking right?" I smiled at him.

He looked at me with a smirk on his face. "You haven't gotten laid, you don't drink beer almost every week, you don't go to clubs every weekend, your swag has worn off a bit, and your not as slick. Oh and no one has called you a asshole yet." He looked back at the laptop.

I waved my hand through the air as if everything he said is nothing. "What are you saying here?"

He had his eyes glued on the laptop as he spoke to me. "I'm saying that Tatum has really gotten to the real you and she's possibly your medicine to your pain...from you know your..." He looked at me this time. "...parents."

I sighed at him because he brought up such a heavy topic for me. I decided to change the subject. "What are you looking up?"

He looked back at the screen of the laptop. "Well since Tatum is back at her job it's strange how your father wanted you to go meet a business that's in the same country as where her next project is suppose to take place."

I looked at the screen. "What city is this?" The pictures looked terribly familiar.

Clay sighed. "Tokyo, Japan."

The blood in my body slipped out of my veins. The chains on my feet and wrists weighed down on me, making me feel heavy and sick. Everything in my body was glitching from the words that Clay had said.

"I can call your father that you can't go." Clay looked worried as he saw my whole expression shifted.

I stood up dizzy. "No there's no need, when are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow." For some reason Clay's word seemed to echo through my ears.

I pressed my hand against my head feeling a aching headache hitting my head. I pressed my other hand on the wall because I felt like everything around me was turning. I reached my room I slowly took off my clothing and walked in the shower which was pouring steaming water. I felt too dizzy to stand so I sat there as the water hit my back.

I was talking heavy breaths as I got slow flashbacks of what had happened to my parents. Soon after the water turned cold and everything inside me turned to stone, I had a flashback it was raining I was small and crying asking to see him, I was soaked and sure to get a cold from staying out in the rain. Through I didn't care all I wanted was too see my dad.

I turned off the water and got into heavy warm clothing and went to the medicine cabinet pulling out sleeping pills and took two. I gulped down two full cups of water, and walked too bed. I laid under my blankets trying to sleep but more memories came pouring in my mind.

"Alfred...Alfred...Alfred." A voice was calling me out it was gentle and warm. "Alfred... everything is going to be okay...there's no need to cry." The warmth of the voice was calming me down.

I closed my eyes and then I started to see something.

I was in a brown cushion chair, and in front of me was a lady at a desk she looked like she had library glasses on, they were all the way down her nose. Her hair was curly and brown it was in a lose bun, two pieces of her curly hair was on each end of her head in front of her ears.

"So Alfred how are you feeling?" She looked down at me.

I played with my fingers not saying anything.

She sighed. "Alfred, I know you lost your dad a few days ago but you must talk so we can help you."

I still didn't say anything only looking down at my lap playing with my fingers.

"You want to get rid of your nightmares right?" She asked nicely.

I looked up at her, and shook my head yes at the lady.

She smiled at me showing her straight white teeth. "Well if you want them to go away then your going to have to talk to me, okay."

I shook my head at her.

"Okay then so tell me what had happened that night."

"There...there was a fast light coming towards us...and then we were flying through the air. Then-then I saw that daddy was asleep...and...and...he wouldn't wake up...I kept telling him to...wake up but-but... he wouldn't wake up." Tears ran down my cheeks. "He just wouldn't...wake up."Tears were coming faster down my cheeks.

"Alfred do you know why your dad wasn't waking up?" She was typing on the key board and then looked at me.

I shook my head.

She gave a sincere face at me. "Alfred your father is dead."

The word dead was echoing through my head. I started to shake my head no, and then someone was tapping  on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and bounced up head butting someone. I rubbed my head and looked up to see clay.

"You okay?" I shook my head yes at him. "Well then get up we have to get going to the air port it's about a twelve hour trip." I put a thumbs up at him as I got out of the bed.

I pulled on some clothing, and before we left to the air port I took a few pills for sleeping and hopefully not having those nightmares of the past anymore.
