*one week later*
Emma woke up early feeling refreshed. She felt safe, and everything seemed fine again. Her relationship with Killian was back to normal, and she didn't have to worry about James or Katherine anymore. They had the final court day about five days ago, and they sentenced James a lifetime in prison. She would no longer have to see him, and now she could live a normal life as she has always wished.
Emma got up out of bed, and got ready for the day. She could finally have a normal day at school. The best part was that Killian got put off of probation today, so she could see him.
Emma was still a little confused about her relationship with Killian. She told him that she loved him, and she knows he loves her. Yet nothing has happened. They have been hanging out like normal this past week. She has been waiting for him to make some sort of move, but he hasn't. 'Maybe I will just ask him about it later,' Emma thought.
She got dressed in her usual outfit of a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and her red leather jacket. Then she went downstairs where Mary Margaret and David were making breakfast. They got up early when Emma did every morning so they could make her breakfast. Emma loved having that, and it was all new to her.
"Hey thanks for making breakfast guys, but I actually have to get to school early to talk to Killian if that's alright?" Emma asked.
"Of course that's okay, just grab something to eat on your way out," Mary Margaret replied. Emma grabbed a piece of toast, and rushed over to Mary Margaret to give her a kiss on her cheek. Then she gave David a quick hug before she left the house.
"Bye guys," she mumbled as the toast was hanging out of her mouth. Mary Margaret just simply waved at her right before she closed the door.
Emma had to walk to school because her driver's training didn't start until June, and the bus didn't stop at Marry Margaret and David's house. She still arrived to school pretty quickly though, because she was excited to see Killian.
She instantly went to his classroom. She didn't even go to her locker first to put away her bookbag. When she arrived he was just sitting at his desk in silence grading papers. He had earbuds in his ears listening to music, so he didn't hear her open the door.
Emma crept behind him while he was focused on the papers, so she could surprise him. She took his earbuds out, and then covered his eyes with her hands. "Guess who?" She asked in a sweet giggly tone.
"Hmmm, I wonder," he said, "is it Mrs.Nolan?" Emma immediately took her hand off his eyes, and spun him around in his chair.
"And here I thought you knew me by now," Emma responded sarcastically. Killian smirked at her as he stood up and wrapped his arms around her waist. She responded by wrapping her arms around his neck. This was as far as their relationship has gone. They were hugging a lot more, but Killian never seemed to want much more. The thought was really bothering Emma so she decided to just bluntly ask him.
"Hey, I have a question," Emma said, while her arms were still wrapped around his neck.
"Ask away," he responded, adjusting his arms on her hips.
"Well, what are we? I told you how I felt, and nothing has really happened between us since," Emma said.
"I didn't know you wanted anything to happen. I just didn't want to push you, but since I know how you feel now how about we go on a date tonight?" Killian asked.
"That sounds perfect," Emma replied, "you can pick me up at eight." He smiled at her, and she returned it. The bell then rang, signalling that Emma had five minutes to get to her first class. She reluctantly took her arms away from Killian's neck, and he took his hands off of her hips.
