Emma walked into her old house, where she had boxes of her stuff. She didn't leave a note for her mom, saying goodbye. She didn't need to. They did that in the hospital, right? She gathered all her stuff into the moving truck and tracked down a taxi to get her to Mrs. Nolan's house. Her new house. Her new home. Emma smiled at the thought of a new family, and a new start. She finally got to Mrs. Nolan's house and there was a note on the door. "Emma, David and I will be back at 4:00 sharp. The room next to the kitchen is yours. We are so happy and excited that you are staying with us! We hope you enjoy everything. -Mrs. Nolan." Emma smiled as she read the note.

She walked into their house. "Woah." Emma said aloud. "Their house is huge!" She exclaimed. She needed to find the kitchen. After 5 minutes she saw the kitchen and a doorway with a sticky note that said "Emma's Room" on it. Emma walked in and the bedroom was the size of her old living room! It was huge! Mrs. Nolan already had a bed, dresser, and vanity for Emma already.

After Emma unpacked and everything was in place, it was 3:45 p.m. She decided to just watch TV in the living room, which was now the size of her old houses entire upstairs floor. She turned on the flat screen TV and decided to watch Friends. After 15 minutes exactly David and Mary Margaret were in the driveway. Emma turned off the TV and unlocked the door for them. "Hi Emma!" Mary Margaret said. "Hi Mrs. Nolan." Emma said. They walked in the door. "Okay, I want to do this properly I guess, let's all sit down on the couch." Mary Margaret said. "Okay." Emma said.

"So, Emma. This is my husband, David. David this is Emma." Mary Margaret introduced them. David was handsome, blue eyes and brown hair. "Hi." Emma said. He just smiled. "Okay, well, I'm going to make tacos now." Mary Margaret said. "You two bond." She added.

"So..." David said. "So..." Emma replied. David turned on the TV and Friends was still on. "Oh." He said. "I'm sorry, it's just that I was watching TV while I was waiting for-" Emma started to explain. David cut her off, "No, no it's fine. It's just that I love Friends!" He said. "Oh, great!" Emma said. "Who's your favorite character?" He asked. "Um, I like them all but I really like Ross." Emma answered. "Me too! He's so underrated!" David said. "Okay, okay. How about favorite not main character?" David asked, weirdly excited now. "Gunther is pretty funny. But Janice. Oh. My. God. 'Hello Mr. Bing'." Emma said, impersonating Janice, which made David laugh. It made Emma feel good, having someone to just laugh with."You got to admit, Chandler and Janice... Definitely lobsters." David said. "Yeah, right. As if!" Emma said. They laughed and talked about the show for a while. "Dinners ready!" Mary Margaret said.

At dinner Emma thought how great this was going to be. She was really deep into thought, fantasies of the future when Mary Margaret asked, "So, Emma. How was your day?" Emma hadn't been asked that in a long time. "Oh, it was good. Moving was pretty easy." Emma replied. "Well, that's great to hear." David said. They both smiled at her. This was it. A new family. A perfect family.

"Hey, if it's cool with you, I was wondering if I could go see Mr. Jones later." Emma said. "Yeah, of course Emma." Mary Margaret replied. It felt nice, having a simple yes for once.

Later that night Emma went to visit Killian at the hospital. She went into his room. "Killian?" She said. "Hey Emma, what's up?" He asked. "Nothing. I moved into Mrs. Nolan's house today." She answered. "Oh, that's fun." He said. "How are you doing?" Emma asked. "Oh, well I could be better, to be honest. The doctors say I'll be in here until Sunday." He answered. She replied with a simple, "Oh." He looked at her for a while. "So, I'm assuming we're going to have a substitute on Monday." Emma said. He laughed, "Actually I plan on being there Monday. Don't worry, you wont have to worry about the horror of a substitute." He said. "Well, that's good." Emma said, smiling. Then, something weird happened.
