Two and a half days, that was how long we have been in here, and actually, things weren't really improving for us technically.

Well, we killed a zombie, since at one freaking time or another, it was able to find it's way here to us.  Which kinda made the group a little uneasy, because if one was able to enter through the sewer, then would that mean tons and tons of them might be heading towards us after all?

I shook that thought away.  Besides, I had bigger problems, just like my shoulder wound, truth was, it wasn't doing well either, and nope, I'm not joking.  Kit Kat wasn't happy when she realized I already had a fever.  And my open flesh wound? Wow, it stinks, and I can notice pus forming from the opening of my bitten shoulder.  I mentally cursed.  Things you see, weren't really going the way I expected them to go.

The only thing that happened to us that was good, that it already seemed like it was a gift from heaven, was when we were able to find a door to a room.  Well, it wasn't much, it wasn't so big either, but it was spacious enough for four people and the best part? Where when you close the door, the crappy smell was at least kept out.  And there was enough ration of food, there were various can foods that didn't really taste bad, there was also a gas stove and some sleeping bags enough for the four of us.

Wow, whoever left the place with these stuff, was obviously the workers who were assigned to this sewer.  Well, thank God for them, because without them, we might turn into cannibals and might opt to eat each other raw.  But  naw, I'm just joking really.  I would never do that in a hundred years, not even when the time calls us to do that.

Geez, I'd rather get eaten up by those things.

And logically enough, that's where we were right now, resting our butts off, in fact the term was sitting pretty.  Since there was no other good thing to do than to wait for a miracle to happen.

As for the gadgets we had in hand, well, they were useless, we couldn't call anybody, much less text our friends.  The signal was cut off and I'm sure, the electricity as well.

Unfortunately enough for us too, we were already down to the last can, and the worst part? We all had to share and equally divide our already equally divided parts so that we'd all get our stomachs satisfied.  And because of this sad truth, everybody seemed to be in a bad mood, well, including me.  But the one who was somehow starting to take this problem in seriously was Luther.

I mean seriously, of course we all take this seriously, but you know what? There was something wrong with Luther, alright...well, he also got a fever, but even then, he didn't have any reason to get grumpy.  Or even mean.

There was a time when Luther ate our share of food when nobody was looking, oh yeah, and he was about to get away with it too, if not until Adrian caught him.

And that's what sucked the most because Kit Kat, Adrian and I had to share our already equally divided parts into small divisions, so that we wouldn't starve for that day, and I didn't get the chance to get mad at him because Kit Kat made me promise to extend my patience towards him, but if it weren't for my girl friend, I swear I'll make Luther vomit every last morsel he's fed himself selfishly with.

And if your asking if we have ever tried asking why Luther was behaving like this? Well, we did, and when we asked if he was alright , or why he was probably acting all so greedy with our food all of sudden, all he ever did was shockingly reply that he was hungry, and that no amount of food could ever seem to satisfy that hunger of his.

It's like, well, the more he eats this food he gets even more hungrier, he even compromised our safety behind this door when he dared to attempt to leave this room, climb out of this sewer, walk to a mall and get some other foods that aren't sealed in cans.  Well, he was about to anyway.  That is, if Adrian and I didn't hold him down.
