Horses, Horses, and more.. Boys?

Chapter 7

I walked into the class and sat down. As the class filled up, I played on my phone. The bell soon rang and the teacher walked into the class. It was the first day of school for everyone here. We got handed the course syllabus and began going over class rules. When we finished we had what was left of the class to ourselves. I played on my phone some more and waited for class to be over. It was 4th period so next was lunch.

I looked up just as someone walked over.

"Hi. I'm Allison but you can call me Alli." The girl smiled, showing a row of amazingly white teeth.

She had raven black hair and hazel eyes. She looked about 5' 5". Alli sounded nice enough.

"Hi. I'm Jessica but everyone calls me Jessie." I smile back.

"Cool! So, do you want to eat lunch together? I'm new here and I don't have any friends." she said sadly.

"Yeah sure! I'm new too." I say with a smile. Her eyes light up.

"Sounds good." she smiles too.

Suddenly the bell rings. The students file out of the class and towards the cafeteria. Allison and I are soon in deep conversation about various things.

*At a lunch table*

"Who's your favorite song artist?" she asks me.

"Ed Sheeran. My favorite songs by him are Autumn Leaves, Small Bump, and Little Bird." I answer proudly.

"Me too! I also like Scotty McCreery." she says.

"So do you have any horses?" I ask.

"Yeah. My horses name is Prince Charming. Prince for short. He's my baby. I got him when I was 14." she excitedly states.

"That's cool. I have a blue roan. Her name is Whisper in the Wind. Whisper for short. I got her last month." I think back to the horrific condition she was in. Now she was clean, back up to the correct weight, and was ready to be ridden. I just had to have her fitted for a saddle.

"We should ride together sometime." a new voice said.

I looked up and saw another girl smiling at us. She had wavy brown hair and golden brown eyes.

"I'm Hailey by the way." she said smiling.

"Hi, I'm Jessie and this is Alli." I said smiling back.

We kept talking until the bell rang. Hailey had my next class so we said goodbye to Alli and walked to class. I sat down next to Hailey and watched all of the students file in. A boy with silver gray eyes and reddish brown hair walked in and smiled at me. Smiling back I turned to Hailey. She had a shocked look on her face.

"What?" I asked her.

Sorry I haven't updated. I've been really busy lately because my brother started baseball, my mom got a new job, my brother and I have had school, and I've been babysitting my cousin. Hope you liked the chapter! :)
