My ears rang so loud that I couldn't hear anything. My vision was blurry. I knew someone was standing over me, crying. I could see the difference in color and feel their tears fall onto my face. My hearing started to come back. Someone was screaming. Then I heard the sirens. What happened? I wondered. I felt around, I was laying on the ground.

In that moment, everything came flooding back. Whisper. The round ring. The squirrel. No helmet. Screaming out for my mom. And then, black.

My hearing was fully back and everything was focusing. Soon, my mothers face was replaced with that of a paramedic. They checked my vitals and then started asking me questions.

"What's your name?"

Too easy. "Jessica Bethany Williams." I reply.

"How old are you?"

Again. Too easy. "I'm 16."

"What's today?"

Really? That's all they've got? "Its Wednsday the fifth of September." I reply.

"She doesn't seem to have a concussion. She may have a sprained wrist but I doubt it. She fell pretty good."

"Well duh. Your supposed to curl up in a loose ball to protect your head and body. It didn't even hurt. I've been riding as long as I can remember. I think I would know how to fall off a horse." I snapped. I had to get fitted for a saddle. I was riding with Toby on Saturday.

They nodded and I stood up. Then I found Whisper by the porch. I could hear my mother behind me apologizing for my out burst and thanking them. I grabbed my helmet and hoisted myself back up on Whisper's back.

Before I knew it I was off at a canter down the driveway, my hair blowing behind me. I could hear my mother's shouts but they soon faded with the distance I put between us. All I had to do is find a tack shop, and before long, I did. But I also found something else. Toby.

Hey guys. Sorry for the long wait. Had a bit of writers block but it cleared up now. I had a but of time to write today seeing as I stayed home with a cold. :/  Thank you all for reading! :) Love you all!
