Chapter Forty-Three: Family Time

It's only been two hours since Sofia has been born. Riley was tired so she was currently taking a nap.

Dean at the moment was holding his daughter. He hasn't taken his eyes off of her. He has just been looking at her ever since she has been born. He has a smile on his face because he is so happy to know that she is finally in the world.

"I can't believe you're here." He said quietly so that he doesn't wake her up.

"I'm your daddy. I waited so long for you. I'm happy to know that you are here."

"I wasn't expecting to have a child at the moment but the moment that I saw you, it all changed. You only been here for a few hours and I already fell in love with you. I'm going to spoil you and even protect you. You're never leaving my sight. I love you, Sofia Lee. Forever and always." He said.

He kinda teared up a little bit while saying that. He was just so happy to have a daughter.

While he was just watching her, a nurse came in to tell him that the baby had to be laid down. He nodded and then gave his daughter to the nurse.

He then took a seat next to Riley. He grabbed her right hand and then watched her sleep.

He was so thankful for Riley. She's given everything he ever wanted. She gave him the life he wanted when they first started dating and she even gave him a daughter.

He doesn't know what else he would want. He's happy with everything he got right now.

Then his phone dinged. He checked to see that it was Seth.

Seth: how she doing?

Dean: they're both good.

Couple minutes later, Seth texted back.

Seth: Sofia is born?

Dean: yup

Seth: do you think I'm allowed to come in? I'm bored here in the waiting room.

Dean: I think. I just had to let Sofia sleep in her bed.

Seth: I'll ask the nurse.

Dean didn't say anything back considering that he knows that Seth will text him back to say what he had to say. He had to wait for a few minutes.

Seth: I'm coming.

Dean: I'll be waiting.

Dean rapidly tapped his fingers on his legs to keep him busy until Seth got there. Then a few more seconds passed and then there was a knock on the door.

Dean got out of his chair and went to open the door. There was Seth.

"Hey." Seth said and then went into the room.

"Hey."

"She must be tired." Seth said while looking at Riley.

"She is." Dean said.

"At least you have a daughter." Seth smiled.

That only made Dean smile as well. He still couldn't believe it.

"Yeah, that is true."

"How does it feel?"

"I'm still trying to let it sink in a bit but it's obviously so amazing. I'm happy to know that she is here." Dean said with such a big smile.

"Where is she?" Seth asked.

Dean pointed to the small bed that Sofia was in. Seth quietly walked over to the bed and looked at her.
