I was happier watching sunsets
and getting lost
in the serenity
of being embraced
by nature's quiet,
but now
I see through
frosted window panes:
the atmosphere has
frozen,
the colours
have dissolved
and the outside world
has been abandoned.
the winds now whip freely
through the body-ridden streets
and the walls have grown cold
from where I used to sit
and dangle my legs
carelessly,
observing the surroundings.
I was happier then.
