how do you feel
on an ordinary day?
maybe the world is black and white,
and your heart tinted grey.

tell me,
how do you feel
in all the places you've already been?
it gets a little sickening;
your eyes reflecting green.

tell me,
how do you feel
on days that seem dead?
when your entire world
is soaked in only red?

but,

tell me,
how do you feel
when he writes of you in ink,
does it make you blush?
is your face all rosy and pink?

tell me,
how do you feel
when he says his love is true?
it must relieve your heart
from its constant blue.

tell me,
how do you feel
once you exchange i love yous?
your heart explodes with colour -
all the brightest hues.
