I want to write a poem
about my dog.

it would be so lighthearted
and childish,
but cute.
like my dog himself.

I want to write a poem
about how he listens to me
and how he cuddles me when I'm sad.

I want to describe my dog's big, twinkling eyes,
his soft fur,
his tiny paws
and shiny, curious nose.

I want to write about how
he's entirely made of love,
joy,
pure excitedness
and all things angel-like,
but now and then has humanly attitudes. it makes me giggle.

I want to write about how adorable he is
and how he's cliché-ly made my life brighter and happier -
because he has -
but it just wouldn't be me.

I want to write a poem about my dog
but it would just be too childish.
