a pillow could refer

comforts you,
helps you sleep at night
and breaks your falls.
pillows could refer to people -
people who listen to you without judgement,
people who allow you to cry
and people who make life
a little softer; a little more comfortable
and bearable.

everyone has their pillow;
be it absolutely anything in the universe:
music, books, videos,
places, friends or lovers
every pillow is unique
and truly necessary
in a world full of lumpy mattresses,
nightmares
and cold, hard floors.
