Why [ Jungkook ]

Friday night, under the willow tree you were with your boyfriend, near the playground where you first met.

Your head on his lap as he stroked your hair. He was staring at the beautiful sunset, as you stared at him.  You were amused at how beautif he looked without all the heavy make up covering his face, all the small imperfections on his face, his nose that you adored so much, him. He was Jeon Jungkook, just Jeon Jungkook & not The Jeon Jungkook. The Jungkook you fell in love with.

But why'd you fall in love with him? Why him of all people? Why the one who'd side Iron Man while you'd side Captain America? Why the one who'd choose to stay up late & play video games while you'd choose to sleep?

"Jungkook?"

You whispers, placing your hand on his cheek making him look at you.

"Yeah?"

He responds.

"Why do we work out?"

You ask, making him look at you in confusion

"What do you mean, babe?"

He asks, making you sit up, turning to face him as he does the same.

"I mean, it's just funny how we're exact opposites of each other but we work so well."

You say, and he smiles. He takes your hand in his and looks at you in the eyes.

"Well, it's like we're salt & pepper. People may think we don't match, but in fact, we can't go on without one another. We're each other's other half without even being the exact same people. And you know the saying, opposites attract? It's that, we're that."

He explains making you blush. You smile at him.

"You're so cheesy, you know that?"

You say and laugh. He chuckles and nod.

"Well, you love me anyway."

He says, pulling you near him, planting a kiss on top of your head.

"That's another reason."

You mumble.

"Hm?"

"Because i love you, and you love me, it keeps us together."

You whisper

"It's just so amazing how we're not alike, but we work so well, without even knowing why"

You continue, and he nods.

"And that's what makes us the best."

He says, before placing his head on yours.

Helloooo so here's something to temporarily satisfy you all i guess? (This was inspired by Sabrina Carpenter's Why btw) I'm sorry for not being active these past few weeks, i just got back from a trip from South Korea which was bomb & Our classes recently started so i will be busy & might not be active but i will try to update 1 or 2 imagines every once in a while during my free time. Request are currently closed too since i still have alot of requests that are so overdue but my writer's block is making it hard to produce quality imagines. 😢 anyways, i love you all & thank you thank you thank you so much for supporting this book!
