taehyung felt his shoulders get heavy after he locked himself in the bathroom. his mom was gone because she was over at a friend's house, and he was alone at home. he didn't even hesitate after thinking about his dad because he was never there. taehyung let the tears fall after looking at himself in the mirror to find a broken, lifeless boy looking back at him.

he tried so hard to hold on.

but in the end, he let go.

with trembling hands, he picked up his phone and dialed jimin's number.

"jimin?" he asked.

jimin, with a raspy voice, answered him. "yeah? what do you want? i just woke up from a nap. actually you're calling me so i think i'm still sleeping. b-"

"no, don't leave." taehyung sighed, "this isn't a dream. more like a nightmare.. for me."

"what? dude, are you done with your depressing shit?" jimin groaned, and you could hear that he could care less about this call from taehyung.

"jimin.. why did you cheat on me?"

silence came and taehyung chuckled with no humor intended. "no answer, huh? bet you just fucked her because she looked nice, right? she probably wasn't starving herself like i did."

"stop, taehyung." jimin said, somehow becoming more cautious about what he was saying. "taehyung what are you doing?"

"i'm sorry jimin," taehyung sniffled, his cries becoming weaker to control. "i wasn't enough for you.."

jimin stood up from his bed and his lips parted. "taehyung don't do anything! stay where you are, i'm calling jeongguk-"

"don't bother," taehyung said with a dying voice, his chapped lips making it harder to talk. "i'm calling him after this to say goodbye. but, i just wanted to say one last thing before i leave. i'm sorry for whatever i did to make you do such a thing. forget whatever i did wrong and please remember me, okay?"

jimin started crying and his breathing became uneven. "no, taehyung, don't do this. please don't.."

"i loved you, jimin."
