jeongguk came over to my house the following day which was saturday and we were laying on the couch watching modern family. he laughed at a certain part and i looked at him, smiling as i saw the crease in his forehead and the way his lips tugged to create his beautiful smile. i wanted to run my fingers over his cheek but it would be uncalled for and embarrassing since i already have my eyes for someone.

but he captivated me, with the chocolate brown eyes he looked at me with and the parted lips which looked so.. kissable. i shouldn't be feeling like this.. he's my friend.

"taehyung!" he whined. "are you even watching?"

i blinked and shook my head yes without hesitation. jeongguk sighed and turned off the tv. i layed my legs on top of his and he breathed in.

what's wrong? am i still heavy?

i lifted one leg off of him but he grabbed it and layed it back down. "no, it's fine." he said, with a reassuring smile.

"guk.. what's wrong? is something bothering you?" i asked with a frown.

he shook his head, "ani! i'm fine and good as can be. see?" he pointed a finger to his smile.

i couldn't believe him. why would i? i can see that something's wrong and that he wants to tell me. but.. why isn't he? ever since we became friends he would always tell me everything on his mind.

"taehyung.. are you sure about dating jimin?" he asked.

jimin. a sensitive topic jeongguk never wanted to discuss about unless he brought it up. he always frowned every time i talked about him and i don't know why he hates him so much! he should be supporting me as a friend.. i don't know what he has against him.

"i'm as sure as can be. why?"

jeongguk swallowed and let out a breath. "i just.. i was just making sure. t-taehyung, you know that i'm going to stick by your side forever, right? i promise i won't hurt you, ignore you, or do anything intentionally to hurt you."

i smiled. "you don't have to tell me, i already know."

he placed his hand on my cheek and caressed it, as his other soft hand sliding was against my hand. i swallowed, "jeongguk..."

his lips parted and i could tell he itched to tell me something. he closed his mouth and cupped my cheek.

"taehyung.."

i felt my heart pound against my ribcage, my heart beating fast and blood rushing through my veins.

"i'm sorry that i love you."
