NOT A FAN

chapter 5

                  Maddie finally made her way back to the car after another 45 minutes of me waiting.

I was mad.

"What the heck took you so long?!" I asked angrily

"I had to go check out the vip area, chill" she said sassily rolling her eyes and messing with her hair

"You didn't even have a vip pass Maddie" I said in the calmest voice I could possibly manage

"It was still worth a shot to get in" she said with a shrug

"You're Unbelievable" I said rolling my eyes and starting the car

"It was so amazing Em! I wish you could've seen how good Grayson and Ethan looked tonight" she said with a loving sigh

I quietly laughed remembering the awkward encounter I had with Grayson.

She's right he did look good...

Maddie can never know about that though, I'd never hear the end of it if she found out.

"So, it was fun?" I asked her, changing the subject as I pulled out of the parking area

"More than fun Em, it was AMAZZZINGGGG" she yelled in excitement
(Did any one else think of Ethan's wisdom tooth removal? 😂)

I laughed at how happy she was.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring Charlie Puths new song 'Attention'

I rolled over with my eyes still closed smacking the clock until it finally turned off.

Those first few seconds of the morning are the most peaceful times of your life because for a second, you forget everything.

Just for a second you are completely relaxed with no emotions or thoughts at all.

But only for a second.

Reality doesn't take long to hit... Or hunger in my case.

I eventually managed to roll out of bed and go downstairs to see what was for breakfast.

"Morning" my mom said as she sipped on some coffee

"Morning" I said with a yawn

"How was the show last night?" my mom asked with a smile

If only you knew...

"Fine" I lied grabbing an apple from the basket in the middle of the table

"I know it made Maddie really happy that you'd do that with her. I appreciate you doing that Hun" my mom said patting my arm

I smiled at her.

"How about you take my car and go down to the beach today?" My mom suggested

"Really?!" I asked excitedly

"Here" she said handing me the keys to her car

"Thanks mom" I said running up to my room to get stuff for the beach.

My mom never let's me go to the beach by myself, she always makes me invite Maddie and Jake.

This is definitely a rare occasion and I'm jumping on the offer before she can change her mind.

I grabbed my favorite blue bikini, a pair of shorts, a white tank top, my purse, towel and phone.
